Hi guys,
Short backstory. I'm 19 years of age and first posted and came into the world of hair loss in July 2018. This came after a colleague of mine made a comment about my hairline and said "Has it always been like that?". This spiralled me downhill and I became constantly anxious about it and still am, albeit my feelings are more controlled. Looking at old photos, it is worth considering I have never had a straight hairline and I have a rather wide forehead. For those who like to consider family history, every male I know of in my family has ended up bald, one by 19 and others by 30.
In the same month of July, I hopped onto Regaine in a desperate bid to save my quiff and have used this consistently twice a day since Mid-July (bar missing one or two night applications). I would constantly feel anxious and I believe this stress along with work stress may have supported/sped my hair loss up. I was aware this can take a while to work, so I chose to start taking Finasteride 1mg at night too. Along with a couple of applications of Nizoral recently, this has been my treatment.
So here is a comparison 6 months into my hair loss journey (6 Months of Regaine and 4 Months of Finasteride). The first 3 photos are a look at my hair in July (I also posted on this forum then too if you want another reference), and the next three are the same angles as of today.
I haven't included photos of my hair naturally as it is naturally straight and fairly thick and goes over my nose if I was to leave it! So I style it and have changed gels recently too.
In my opinion, it's pretty much the same which suggests my treatments have prevented even more damaging loss. I wanted your opinions on this and as long as I'm still ok, I'll post another update in 6 more months to commemorate a year.
Appreciate your time.
Ps. I know this may have been put on the treatment section of the forum but I thought as I've used both, this is the better place.
