Concealing your hair loss

I have thick, long, curly hair, and I can pretty much completely conceal my hair loss, even with gel, making it look like I have a thick head of hair, with no sign whatsoever of any hair loss. My friends laugh when they hear me talk about my hair loss, seeing that I have a thick "full" head of hair...if they only knew.

When my hair is combed back, especially when it's wet...damn, I freakin look like I'm rapidly balding, that's when I panic and think about Hair Transplant and shyt.

I'm 26 and I'm not sure how long I can take fooling myself with concealment.

I'm just curious, for those of you who are able to conceal your hair loss, how does your hair really look compared to after you've concealed it?

i conceal mine really well, i just comb the hair forward over my temples, and it covers it no problem.

when it's dry, it just hangs down and still covers my temples.

when i pull it out of the way, that's where you can see the slight recession

I would never use and Topik or any other junk like that. To me that is the point were I have crossed the line to who am I kidding territory. I just comb it then add some hair spray and friz it up a bit, then I comb it again to get some good coverage. While I am far from what I want or once had the poofiness of my hair seems to give the illusion that I still have a lot hair. If that does not work then I just throw a hat on, nothing says respect like a baseball cap at a funeral or a wedding.

When I had a full head of hair, I would spend about 3 minutes in the bathroom workin on my hair, now it takes me about 30 damn minutes to get my hair right, i'm beginning to feel like a pussy. My gf is beginning to wondering what the hell I'm doing in the bathroom.
