Consequences of a missed minoxidil application

I was just wondering, since not all lifestyles permit minoxidil application 2x a day at the same time, every day without fail, what the consequences of a missed does here and there would be? In particular, I'm talking about missing an evening application, say for a party, or because I'm at my girlfriend's, etc. Not all of us are gonna bring a bottle of minoxidil to somebody's house, and in the middle of a party or whatever just start applying in the host's bathroom. Especially not if our hair is styled that evening, it's just not in the cards.

So assuming regular applications begin again, probably the next day, what are the consequences? Just a slightly slower road to results? I'm hoping this won't be a deal breaker, considering my lifestyle really won't allow for 2xdaily every single day. Most weekdays I can swing this, but weekends are a tossup, most likely only in the mornings.
