I was about to order some topical spironolactone from Dr. Lee (http://www.min oxidil.com) and its asking for $20 consultation...is it worth it, what is it like, anyone had a session with Dr.Lee before?

its just a formality in order to sell you his products. He has had the same 20 dollar fee for 20 years or something. After that you can purchase from him for life and not have to pay.

How long does it last? Does he discuss patient's particular hair loss type/info in detail if someone sends him the pics.

Is it really him or is it just some guy sitting at a computer naked somewhere?

is his retin-A really retin-A, or just dilute hydrochloric acid?

It better be about pH 5.

Yes, the $20 consultation is worth it. If you tip him an extra $100, it will be VERY worth it.

so I guess i'm gonna have to pay $20 to be able to order topical spironolactone. BTW, is this stuff for real - there was a poster here who said when he tried some other brand's topical spironolactone it gave him gyno...is Dr.lee's more diluted or what?

Since i'm not on finas yet...i'm thinking about giving minoxidil + topical spironolactone a go for few months and see if its any good.

it is worth it. I bought the retin-A. The spironolactone is pricey, but we can't get pure spironolactone ourselves.

twenty dollars is a drop in the bucket when I think about the money I've spent on my "hairloss battle".....I estimate $500-$750 a year over ten year period.... :freaked2:

Let's see I spend $360 a year on Avodart, $70 a year on Nano, and $70 a year on Revita. So just about $500 a year. If I add foam it will probably be $150 a year so maybe $650 total then.

i do buy nano from lef.org...

i don't see how it would last me 6-8 months if i'm using it 4 times a week. it lasts me about 4 months. i use about 3 bottles a year i'd say. and i do prewash. it would last like a month and a half if i didn't. maybe i only use 2 and a half bottles i dunno.

i might switch to the nano from dr proctors website anyway. it's affordable because i do prewash and it is most likely a higher concentration of the nano.

i pre wash also with jasons....my bottle is half full and ive been using it since march.

I actually apply it twice, a little on the back of my head and work it in, and then a little on the front of my head.....lathers up pretty good.

How much do you think people are paying? 600 is 30 times greater than 20. 18,000 is 30 times greater than 600. Are there people spending $18,000 per year over any extended period of time?

no there aren't. and he shouldn't include hair transplants as part of a regimen because it's not. i don't think anyone on this website spends more than 1500 a yearon their regimen. i was looking at newbaldy's a while back and with his RU and apple poly he looked like he had the most expensive regimen at around $1500 a year. most people on this site are probably right around $500-750

realistically speaking....this is the one of the most expensive regimens I could come up with:

finasteride 1mg per day - $60.00 per month $720.00 per year
dnc- 2x per day- $36.00 per month $434.00 per year

shampoo - high estimate $20.00 per month $240.00 per year
vitamans - high estimate $20.00 per month $240.00 per year

topical dht inhib. $25.00 per month $300.00 per year
copper peptide $20.00 per month $240.00 per year

TOTAL-------------------------------------------- $2174.00
