I am paying the same here basically and I'm in Canada. I don't have coverage like I usually would because I'm not a student anymore and my ****ty television job doesn't cover anything including dental.

macaronaroni, to get Finasteride as cheap as possible, get generic Proscar, which are 5 mg tablets of the exact same medication. You can cut the tablets into fourths and take 1.25 mg of Finasteride daily. Don't bother with the 1 mg tablets, those are the expensive ones since they're considered 'cosmetic' in the industry. I suggest you go back to see your doctor and have your prescription modified in order to save money on the treatment.

Do you have a costco around you?

You don't need a club card you can use the pharmacy, but I do believe you pay an additional fee, but it still would be cheaper compared to what you are paying now.

1mg finasteride 3 month supply for $24-25 and I think you don't have a club card you pay an additional $15 or something. I believe sam clubs is always cheap.

I've been on finasteride about 6 months so far and at my friendly, neighborhood Walmart it's $9 for a 30-day supply of 5mg tablets....but you break those into 1/4s or better, 1/5ths and you get potentiality a 5-month's supply for $9. And that's if taking once daily.

Admins: I have a legit question about discontinuing a long-time saw palmetto regimen in favor of finasteride, and experiencing scalp itch and inflammation without SP. It's annoying I have to make 4 posts first, but I understand. Any chance I could make a new thread or have a thread posted on my behalf? I don't want to make 'junk' posts.

I ordered 5mg Fincar in a totally not legit way from an online Indian pharmacy. If I take 1mg/day, it ends up costing me about $0.14 per day or $50 per year, which really isn't that substantial a difference from #0.33 per day in the long run. Unfortunately, I got horrible sides from the finasteride so I have a 1-2 year supply for nothing.

Since you got a prescription for 1 mg it must not be the 5 mg proscar pills that we get from Walmart for $9. I get the 5 mg generic pill and cut it 4 ways and take 1/4 pill every day which is 1.25 mg.

Just filled a 90 day finasteride script at costco. Cost me 20 bucks and some change.
