Costa Rica causes baldness?

Hi all, I recently moved to Costa Rica for work and I noticed that a LOT of the men there have very thin hair, even the men in their 20's. I have also noticed that my thinning has accelerated quite a bit down here. I am using the same shampoo, eating the same food, same exercise, etc... so I am bummed out by this and wondering what I should do.

Does anyone have any ideas on environmental causes of hair loss? Thanks for any feedback!

PS I use proscar tabs cut up and minoxidil foam 2x a day. I also started using Nizoral about the same time I moved down there and was wondering if that is a possible issue...

PPS - sorry if I posted it twice, first day on the site!

Thanks knuckleheads, thats a great answer. Wear a hat and don't sleep with hookers. Maybe you should come out with an infomercial and sell your program.

For anyone not being stupid, have there been any studies on environmental causes of hairloss?

Look at it this way. Prolonged exposure to UV rays is associated with numerous types of skin cancer.

My advice was to not screw around and end up with melanoma or basal cell carcinoma.

You can cry about hair loss all you want once they remove your ear and part of your face, because basal cell carcinoma spreads everywhere and people rarely ever know it.

First of all there where 2 different posters, one mentioning the hat as a SERIOUS post, and the other making a joke. Dont confuse them because they have the same avatar.

This is a funny way to address someone who replied seriously, at a question that could easily be characterized as stupid. You can ask anything and no questions are stupid, but make sure you are more polite to people who are trying to help.[/quote]
