Could A Dr Like Rahal Get Me Back To A Nw1-1.5?

I’m 27 with a thick NW2 with some hairline miniaturization and temple recession. No diffuse thinning at all. My dad is late 50’s with a thick NW1.5 and I have been on finasteride for 2 years so I am hoping that it is stabilized. Obviously most guys in my situation wouldn't think about a transplant, but admittedly I am vain and really care about my hair. If I can hold off for another year or two to get closer to age 30, would I be a good candidate to have a transplant and then never have to worry about it again? It really bugs me, especially under brighter light.

I appreciate any feedback I get, but I am really only interested in knowing if it is possible. Don't care to hear that I have good hair and don't need a transplant.

Rahal could definitely work magic on your hairline. Also your hair isn't bad for your age either!

You have good density and if you’ve been on finasteride for 2 years and are stabilized then I think a transplant would be a good idea to polish up the temples. I’ve heard that it’s actually smarter to get FUT transplants, especially at a young age, to conserve your donor zone in case you need future transplants but it’s all up to you man.

If I were you I would consult with him to see what he thinks. That is the only way you will know for sure. Just remember hair loss is unpredictable so don't always think you don't have to worry. You are in good shape now but I have seen some men hit their mid 30's and really lose their hair. And I have be on finasteride for a long time and unfortunately I am still losing the battle but luckily its slow enough to keep postponing a hair transplant. The longer you can postpone your hair transplant and your final Norwood, the better.
