Could this be a haircut option for those of us who are younger and higher up the Norwood scale?

I mean, I just see no need to pay a barber to fade it when you could just do that yourself. 1 guard, 2 guard, 3 guard. Easy peezy
Believe me, I've tried it myself and I somehow made myself look balder than I am.

Eh grown out horseshoe only works when you're over 50 or 60 (maybe 40s as well but that's pushing it). If you have a very young looking face and a grown out horseshoe you can look downright sick or creepy. Although the same can apply for shaved head as well so it can be a lose-lose situation.

When you're old I feel it is often better to have it grown out at least just a bit, looks more appropriate imo. Beard helps to pull off the horseshoe too, it helps to connect it so it looks more proportional and less ugly.

How old do you think I look? I look like a lightbulb when I shave my head so this is really my only option.

I think good hair systems can cost 100 dollars per month, if you are smart about it. In fact, other people would give lower estimates.

That may be outside your budget, but thought I should mention it.
Yeah, unfortunately I'm in a really rough spot due to the pandemic so even that is too much for me.

I'd say in the 40-45 age range, I know you're like 25 (I think?) so I'm not saying it to be mean but that's just kinda the age you look to me. I think I saw a pic of you in a thread you made months back with a shaved head and I thought it looked fine, but you do you. Do whatever style you feel like.
