It's simple to explain why they react in such bitter, nasty ways.

The think fina is their only hope so if you dare to say there's a chance you could get side effects they flip, they see it as a personal attack. An attack on their only hope against hairloss.

But wouldn't any normal and reasonable person (and self loving, self caring) want to know the risks also? I mean if I was prescribed this med 5 years ago before reading the possible risks I would have jumped on it. 1 discrete pill to halt hair loss? f*** yeah! But finding out about the risks, mainly sexual risks, Kept me at bay. Keeps me still. I would probably risk many things for hair but my overall health is really the best I have. And having a strong dick for me proves to be more desirable than the much wanted hair. And when I say strong I mean really solid. Not semi, not once in a while, not even just 90%. And I understand that others don't care about this that much and are fine with a noodle in their pants and that's fine... their decision. But from here to pooping in anybody that has a different opinion.... Baffles me

I was one of them, I read on forums that many had side effects but I ignored their advice and tried to rationalize it. In the end I trusted the garbage official studies and my dermatologist who said I would only experience lower libido as a side effect.

...and here we are years after I stopped taking fina, still having side effects. When you're a young man in this day and age your looks and thus your hair are very important sadly...that's why many young guys still take the pill knowing the risks. It's sad...

Had I been in my 20s, especially early 20s, I would have hopped on it also. Maybe even tale a full Proscar just to make sure.... It's I recognize how age will critically influence your decision. Fortunately it only came in my early 30s and though rapidly advancing I could navigate through my early 30s with ease. Now, not far from my 40s I would still love to have a full mane but I'm thinking.... In 10 years from now... Would I be happy with myself if I do end up f*****g my health and my sexuality even though I knew about possible risks beforehand?

Please explain to me how did it AGAIN come to berating and insulting one another? Maybe I'm too old fashioned in believeing that mutual respect and care is the true way among us, people. You are keeping your head in the sand about fina. The sides are real, and not as rare as it is stated. And you are reproaching him to go berserk, agressive and emotionnal but you are the one who did it in the first place, by taunting people who are reporting sides, or finding excuses for this guy suicide to exonerate Finasteride, because you want and you need to be convinced it is safe to a certain level to keep taking it. Rationnal in a certain way but still pathetic.

I doubt that the drug will be pulled from the market. From this perspective you can rest at night well. I agree that, within reason, one should have the liberty to decide for better or worse what to do with their own destiny. But we need to be informed, have transparent politics from the pharma companies and, ideally, be customers to a provider that puts safety and wellbeing above economic reasons. Thisnlast part kinda sound like Utopia.

Well I can only speak for myself but first 11 weeks of Finasteride was absolutley haven for me...
Little brain fog was very helpfull for me, because I suffer for Anxiety Disorder, OCD and Depression. Finasteride "Brain Fog" took all of that from me.
My libido was even stronger than I was teenager. My hair stop falling out from day 1, and in 11 weeks I was almost dense like Brad Pitt. No Shedding at all.

But from one day to another I just became totally soft. I was not able to get erection at all.
I quit and everything come back to normal after 15+ days... But together with erection, OCD, AD and Depression came back, and hair came back to previous state...

I don't really know what happened, I think it may something to do with estrogen grown up(i got GYNO),.and I read that Arimidex can be helpful to fix sexual sides. But I am so afraid to take that it is possible game over for me. Post Finasteride Syndrome fear took over.

I absolutley do not believe in 2% of ussers who have side effects. 2% of users who DO NOT have any sides seams to be more probably.
