You're absolutely not wrong that, indeed, much of the "human" race does bizarrely believe this correlation exists.

I suspect though it's mainly the bald men with the George Costanza (or similar) look that they associate with the creeps, weirdos, molesters and paedos.

When you go around looking like that, you end up traumatised. You WILL get accused of being a paedophile. But for anyone to make that accusation, is just bizarre and personally I'd legitimise the removal of civil freedoms from any individual who falsely makes such accusations.

I'm not talking about complete strangers, I'm talking about my friends, sometimes my best friends. They won't hesitate, and just say, "you look like a paedophile!".

They don't mean any harm, as 99,9% of people when they joke about a guy's hair loss. They just don't realise what they're doing, yet. One of my friends' temples are starting to fade.

We both know a morbidly obese girl, and oddly I've never seen him or anyone telling her: "you look like Jabba the Hutt!" (She really looks like Jabba).

Again, it's OK to laugh about it when it comes to hair loss, and not OK with any other physical disability or deformity.

this is why I say we have to start REALLY ridiculing fatties..... knock them down a peg on their pedestal lol.
Anyway hair loss is genetic, weight gain is more often laziness.

It happened to me a few times. It depends on the length of my beard, the longer the beard (associated with the bald head), the more likely I will get accused of looking like a paedophile.

And when you look at paedophiles mugshots, almost none of them are bald.

But you know, society thinks we can't get laid and that we look creepy and ugly, so we must be molesting children to calm our urges!

As the guy above pointed out, getting all defensive and angry about it is only going to result in them targeting you more frequently because they know they can get a "funny" reaction every time.

Also, if they truly knew and understood how sh*t and powerless it feels to be bald they wouldn't say these things, but they don't. It's not all their fault, society and the constant barrage of image obsessed mtv and reality tv culture and media has conditioned them to think this way. I have friends too, who make ignorant, douchey comments like this, not just about me, but about other guys they see who are bald or going bald, as if it's their fault or their choice that they look like that...

It's very true what another poster said the other day on here, there has never been a worse era to be bald than today's image obsessed, media-brainwashed generation. From birth we have been constantly bombarded with images of perfect looking men and women on tv and magazines who live in fantasy worlds where everyone is rich and good looking and no one is bald, poor, fat or ugly...

Don't expect any empathy or understanding from any nw1s or women (including friends and family), it's totally beyond their comprehension.

IDK, I think real friends wouldn't make fun of something they knew I was insecure about. Friends of friends or acquiantances are just that and have no emotional attachments or obligations. Simply put, if they are willing to make fun of you for that then maybe they aren't your real friends, just saying.
