Well. I'd love to age well too, but at no point should someone forget to age gracefully. Taking off your shirt when you're 70 is not aging gracefully, no matter how toned your body is.

There's a difference between defiance and ignorance of aging.

I don't see anything wrong with that... I don't think retired people should go into their shells and wait to die.

So you think that someone in their 70's isn't aging gracefully if they decide to hit the beach on a hot summer day and take their shirt off?

That's silly. They wouldn't be aging gracefully if they stayed home and did nothing but sit in their rocking chair wating to die.

You misunderstood. I should've been more specific.

I'm not saying that he shouldn't enjoy life. If the occasion calls for it, yes. It's the definition of aging gracefully; it's knowing when and where you may take your shirt off - that depends on your individual definition, and how you look. That being said, some people will feel good just for being muscular and having a toned body at 70 and feel no need to show it off, some people will want to show it off constantly like life is a nudist colony. That's trying too hard.

And knowing when and where depends on how you actually look: If your head looks 70 and your body looks 30 and it looks awkward for everyone, personally, I would want to save that for people who won't gawk; it lessens the awkwardness for everyone. You might find it liberating, but I think that's humiliating to have people constantly looking.

If you're 70 but your head and body both look 30, sure, I don't see why not. Take your shirt off watering your plants, if you want to.

That's what I mean.

Unfortunatley unless he walks around with his top off (and wearing a ski mask) he just looks like an old man.

I saw 70 year old man, not in good shape, kind of hobbling around the supper market, and wearing short gym shorts. He looked like whoever changed his diaper last did not dress him right. I thought it was wrong.

As for a 70 year old with a 30 year old body, I can understand him wanting to show off his good trait. But you got to understand your overall rating, and realize that unless you are at least a 7.5 overall, most people would rather you wear some cloths. I know a 20 year old clerk, whose face is a 6 or 7, but her lower body is a smoking 10. And she knows it. She wears a super short mini skirt everywhere she goes, turning heads. She has many good looking guys sitting next to her at coffee shops.

But if your face is a 5, and your legs are a 7, it is better to dress up, even though you really wish people would view you as a 7 instead of a 5. 7 just is not good enough to most people. They may date you, but they don't want to see that all the time.

I feel this way too. When I'm covered in heavy winter cloths, people can only judge me off my bald head. I want to go around in high shorts and tea shirst so people can see my body is a 7 or 7.5, instead of judging me as a 6 by my face. But fact is 7 is just not good enough, and most people would rather I put some clothes on. No one cares if your body is just slightly above average. They want to see bodies that are in the top 1/3 at least, if not top 1/5.

I just looked at the picture in the link. He does not look bad with the shirt off. Still looks old though. I think he can get away with it. He should shave his head and get a full cap though. And maybe, if his body is capable of healing at that age, he could get a nose job. Then he'd look 30 or 40 and get lots of women.
