Critique my regime please

I'm 28, and have been using minoxidil for about three years for just the vertex area. It's becoming apparent that I'm losing the battle, and I've started to have a lot more anxiety about my hair lately. Which lead me to this community.

I'm probably a pattern 2 on the Norwood chart, but I have a general loss of density in the broader 5A area. I just joined the site a week ago or so, and decided to jump into what seems the majority consensus hair loss treatment plan.

The new planned regime:

(1) 5% Minoxidil on the vertex, and temples twice a day.
(2) 1.25mg Finasteride daily (split 5mg Fincar - Generic Proscar) or 1.00mg if I am good with a splitter
(3) Nizoral Shampoo - 2% (Every third day)

I haven't received the Finasteride or nizoral yet. I will take pictures before I begin.

Any advice is much appreciated. Does the minoxidil go on after the shampoo, or before? What should my expectations be? Is there something I'm missing? Thank you!

I think everyone's going to agree that your regimen is about perfect. Also expect to hear (1) give finasteride at least a year's chance, and (2) be consistent.

Good luck, tomorrow will be my 3rd week on finasteride along with nizoral -- leaving the minoxidil bullet in the chamber for now.

After you have shampooed, use on a dry head though, as you may have side effects if you put it on a wet scalp due to more minoxidil entering your system

Your new regimen looks good. Maybe add 1000 Mg of MSN, Vit C and Omega 3. They really help

id say tricomin would be a waste of time for now..Id stick with the big three thats your going on. Just remember that your going to have to use every treatment that you start for basically the rest of your life (or until the cure comes out) so just use the products that you know your willing to keep on buying. If you want to add copper peptides like tricomin and are willing to keep on buying it maybe its worth it. But i doubt it would help too much since youve already got the big three.
