Start on finasteride IMMEDIATELY, as well as minoxidil! go for the foam cuz your hair is in HOORRIIBBBLE SHAPE. You probably shoudl just have it off because you dont have any hope left. Just accept your hairloss.

Come on man I don't need the smart *** comments, I'm just trying to get a little help..... if you don't have any decent input don't reply please. I'm really trying to get as much input as I can to whether or not everyone thinks that I am thinning or it is normal what I have on the crown. It is really bothering me debating on what to do.

maybe and i mean maybe, youre thinning a little around that swirl at the back. god knows how you noticed it in the first place but loads of people have that just keep an eye on it for a while or post some more pics in six months.

lucy 923,in my opinion you have nothing to worry about,my 7 year old cousin has more hairloss in the crown than you,but if you think you have the genes for hairloss get on propecia now, enjoy your hair the way it is at the moment,if it is hairloss then you have years before anyone will notice

I dont see anything wrong here lucy. That swirl is not a bald spot its just how your hair is, infact I have to say that your hair is in great shape overall.

re:

If there is any hairloss, it is undetectable. No need to do anything. If hairloss is an important issue for you, then hold on to these photos and compare them to updated photos every 12 months. If you see a change, come back to a forum such as this and ask for advice.

actually my paternal grandpa had almost all his hair when he died at 75, my maternal grandpa was about a norwood 5 at death. My dad is a bout a norwood 2-3v at 55, and my uncles are all pretty much norwood 2's with diffuse thinninng on top and slightly in the crown. I am 27 years old.

Here are a few more pics that I just took....any change of thoughts

The part looks a little see through and wide but it could be just a combination of the part and swirl????

Lucy, your hair looks healthy. IMO flash pics are very misleading. when my hair is wet and I take a picture with the flash it looks like my hair is thinning up top. When in reality it's the fact that my hair has always been lighter and fine. Alot of people have that little circle, I've always had one since I can remember. My hair has thinned slightly and receded a little since college(24 now). Regardless, your hair looks good. Only you can really determine if you've lost alot of hair because you're the one monitering it every day. If you think it's thinning, get on finasteride.

before the insane crew drops in, i'd say you have nothing to worry about. at least not right now(who knows in the future). hairs in the swirl grow in every direction. add to that, if the hair is short, they tend to stand straight up and not fall down. if you shine a light directly at it, you will see some scalp.
