Please dont act like you were trying to do me a favor by posting in my thread. Going into threads and posting off-topic about the dangers and side effects of finasteride, thats not fear mongering? It is, I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with finasteride but from the tone of your posts I don't believe for a second your intent is to 'spread awareness'. I am pretty sure everyone on this board is aware of sides.

I didnt start finasteride for a year because of the potential sides / PFS / ect. becasue of seeing posts like that. I spent that time doing research, talking to 4 different doctors and really weighing the risk/reward. Wish I would have started earlier

Let me get this straight, this guy posts about irreversible side effects on your thread because you've asked about information on finasteride and you call him a fear monger? What did you want, to agree with you and support your decision on taking finasteride? Him agreeing with you does not make the side effects happening in people any less. I've read his post about finasterde side effects and it looks legit to me, scary as **** but real. My friend got irreversible sides from finasteride so I know they are real. You act very immature, if you don't want the know the truth why asking for it?

I started to get morning wood back after a month away from fapping, and pornography.

I had had it every day so far.

I believe that is the true culprit for many.

I stayed on nofap for 78 days.

Didn't help.

I guess for some it's genetic.

Though I've been sleeping awfully for several years (5-6h). Gonna start making better sleeping habits and see if I notice a difference.

The loss of the "morning wood" suggested I should stop this drug.
The "morning wood" seems to have the function of keeping your penis "in shape" for when you really need it.
When I totally lost that "ability" I stopped finasteride. It took one year to have it back...

Yeah that's always been my litmus test for healthy function. Didn't know that was the exact function, thanks for that info.

Waking up with a boner is like the best feeling in the world. You want to get out of bed and f*ck the world, make it your b**ch. (no pun intended).

I've never had morning wood in my life! Libido is fine, on the high side actually. But that actually doesn't happen to me.

find a dosage where you experience hair benefits and can still get an erections. There is 1, even if you take 1mg every 3 days, you'll still be slowing down your hairloss in the long term.

I was once like you, thought PFS people are lunatics. 5 months in Propecia killed off my libido and erections. I've stopped and it became even worse. There's no connection between my brain and my penis anymore. It's been like this for 3 years and it hasn't changed. Go ahead and try your luck.

No, you do not have it straight. I take it you read the thread title and nothing else, maybe he did the same. I started the tread to weigh the pros/cons of finasteride and ask for advice, which was helpful. I decided to start finasteride and I am updating the same thread with my progress for others reference. By the time of his post I had been on it for 3 months and was asking about shedding.
