You admire someone just because they have good hair?

Meh.. why is there always someone happy to point out a balding celebrity.. Celebrities.. are just humans. They lose their hair like everyone else.

Feel bad for him though? Common.. he's got a decent looking wife.. not my type but he's envied by many in that aspect. Great couple of kids. Family looks happy.. He's rich.. Plus.. Any ridicule he will get if it becomes obvious he is balding.. which considering he looks good with his head shaved.. may never happen. He's brought on himself, he's totally played off his image and created this type of retarded fan following who only give a damn because he's pretty. If you go into that type of market.. you really should expect that sort of turnaround whenever an obvious flaw in your physical perfectness displays itself.

This just seems petty though.. hey look another balding dude!.. haha that must suck for him! how awesome!

IBM is image orientated.

He's been playing this image for 10 years now. I find it ironic and funny if he balds. In a way I do want him to go bald.

She's as skinny as hell. Can't put a sentence together neither. She the type I would avoid at all costs, typical bimbo.

She's so skinny that she needed a breast transplant to boost her image, which she denied. They had to appear in court for I don't remember what and it was proven that she had them done.

She's soooooo shallow.

3 kids. Family looks happy but he gets the occasional girl on the side.

Exactly. He brought it on himself. He's made enough money out of his image.

I remember reading an article that the English FA was making about £20 million a year from Beckham tshirt sales only. I believe that's the only reason why they keep giving him caps.

awesome!!!!!!

PS: I hate the guy, I can't stand him. I avoid all products endorsed by him, and that meant changing brand of razors for me. I don't have anything against him, but he's been playing the media for years, and he's always in the news. In his first years as a footballer he couldn't even talk properly, that's how dumb he is. I believe his advisors have been teaching him how to talk, and he does sound a bit more intelligent now.

There two types of news and gossip, one pushed on you and the other you look for. Everything about Beckham is pushed on us, and he is playing it.

I dont understand why i'm image oriented? In fact all facts, deeds and thougts in my life were opposite of image orientation.
Hair is not related with image orientation but personality orientation. Hair is in our heads for one reason. Hair defines the character of human being. If its in good way or bad way it depends on each one.

I totally agree with this, thats why I said earlier he's lucky that he never started going bald at 20 because if he had none of this would have happenend for him.
He's a good player but its been his image alone and the media frenzy of it that has made him the richest player in history without his looks he'd have just been another premiership star.

He's been vastly overpaid compared to the other less attractive but equally as good premiership stars who are themselves vastly overpaid.

Of course I dont blame him for cashing in he's got mangers and agents throwing sponshorship deals at him because the get their cut every time he signs but its the sheer overkill of it thats annoyed me every day you see him in the papers or on TV (well you did from about 1998 - 2003) he's not a king or a God he's just a good footballer who just happens to have a pretty face.

If he does go bald he'll just do a Freddie Lundjberg and still be good looking but the attention will fade and some other Guy with hair will take over as the media's new favourite.
Whichever way Beckham will be a rich man for the rest of his life and once the limelight fades they'll probably divorce but for now brand Beckham as the perfect celebrity couple is too much of a good earner.

The question is though If he'd had visible loss back in the mid 90's when they met would she still have been interested? :youbet:

I feel sad to know so much about this guy, I don't even read the tabloid press. Before they got married, supposedly, she had a crash on Giggs. I believe Giggs always had a visible hairloss. Maybe she doesn't mind that in a guy, as long as the guy is famous she's happy with him.

Stumbled across this one and thought I'd add my tuppence.

His dad is bald in the areas he looks to be going thin in so it must be male pattern baldness.

I don't really get all the Beckham haters. Yes he's played his image and struck up many sponsorship deals beyond his footballing abilities but firstly, in his situation who wouldn't and secondly, who doesn't make a sh*t load through mickey mouse sponsorship deals anyway? This is football and the money is all crazy now even if you sit on the bench for Fulham.

Rubbish about the Giggs thing, I can remember the article in an old Match magazine of mine where she says she thought Beckham was fit. That was when they both were fresh on the scene so I happen to think Rebecca Loos aside, they are as solid and sweet as any couple who have been together that long.

Finally, no matter what anyone says the guy has been a great ambassador for the game in our country and he has been the most influential and important player in the last 10 years or so for us. Mate, the reason he is getting caps still because his delivery is better than any of his replacements, no doubt. Bentley, no thanks, Wright-Phillips, Lennon, no chance.

I admit, I did hate Beckham once upon a time, but he's done a good job carried himself with style and class over the latter years of his career.

I dont like the fact that they are held up as great role models when all they really stand for is superficiality and greed, the two things that are having a negative impact on todays youth.
And I still believe that his captaincy was based more on his image than his abilities.

When he showed greed? He just profit from his image. Anyone would do that. The Prodigy could profit from their image but they didnt and throwed a lot of money because of their attitude.

So, the Beckham brand constantly spinning it is not greed?

Encouraging 'bling bling' culture by wearing £100,000's of Jewellery and owning a multi million $ fleet of cars, houses yachts,

spending millions on a wedding and selling it along with his families most private moments to the highest bidding magazine.

Joining a joke of a football club because they offered the most money when he could be playing at top level in europe and winning real trophies,

being a corporate wh*** to the the companies that market their overpriced third world sweat shop made goods to the western youth endorsing anything and everthing that is offered to him.... Do I need to go on?

All of this is from our best 'role model' who can barely string a coherant sentence together, is sending a message to young kids that this is what life is all about "get rich quick at any cost".

Yes SAF, the Beckhams represent everything that is wrong with our culture and is held up as the golden standard that we should all aspire too. It makes me sick. :x

I'm disgusted with the way culture is going. In my childhood all the cool kids movies were about "saving the world", because that was the era of cold war and being united in the fight was sort of essential for the propaganda machine. However, post cold war, everything is about celebrity culture and bling bling. It's the capitalist propaganda machine in action.

All the magazines have pictures of "perfect" people like the Beckhams, in a way they are selling a dream to the masses. The real cost is that our generation is more stressed and unhealthy than our parents' generation. We are constantly on the go because we have to make it, or we are a failure.

Isn't that why most of us are here? We want the "perfect" look, but most of us know that girls will accept us as we are.

I guess I am a victim of the capitalist culture :( and I hate Beckhams.

ryan giggs never had visable hairloss untill 2002 and then it was very mild,so he was 27 years old and the vast majority of people would never have known.absurd to say giggs has always had visable hairloss,in fact in his early 20's it was an awesome head of hair
