David Beckham....again

I have always been dismissive of topics on David Beckham and his hair, as over the years he has had some awesome hairstyles, but reading the paper today there is a pic of him on the front cover and he does actually look quite diffuse, at the moment he is under a lot of stress as the US are ripping into him and now his dad has taken ill, I am beginning to accept the theory of stress and hairloss can be related (as I always took the side of the bad har genetics gang) although his dad is quite thin on top too.

I know we have been here before on this subject and although I don't think he is anything special in terms of football quality (there are far better players out there) but he is a nice guy and is good to his kids and that gets my respect

He's had a few periods of high stress before I think its just age catching up with him. If it takes him the next 25yrs to catch up to his dads hairloss he has'nt had it so bad. At least he had awesome hair throughout his entire 20's.

but a fair amount of 30 yrs old has significant thinning

say if your on treaments and your NW2 friend is not...he might be catching up with you in term of hair loss within 2-3 yrs.

Why do you idolize Beckham like this? What's it to you if a multimillionaire who has gotten his money not by his footballing skills but rather by his looks is losing his hair? I mean, why the sympathy? The guy can do anything to conceal it, it's not about the money. I've never understood ppl who are into the whole celebrity thing like this.

I am with taught, he is a balding guy.
In my opinion his drastic hair cuts could be the reason.

What "drastic" hair cuts are you referring to? Don't tell me you still think buzzing causes baldness... I'm literally laughing my *** off to that theory.

This was in Thursdays paper, so the pic is very recent.

I don't idolise him but I respect him for being a good family man with humble beginnings and that he will drop everything to be beside his dad who had a heart attack this week, this is considering that David and his dad haven't seen eye to eye for some time.

I don't think he will be able to do anything about his hair as propecia is a banned substance.

He probabily doesn't give too damn about it... he has more important things to worry about.

Even without hair, he still gets more girls than you can ever imagine.

Im pretty sure he would look good with a shaved head as he has a strong jaw and is very good looking so I doubt its that big an issue.
I can see why Taug is so intrigued though, because Ive grown up seeing him on TV(playing football, commericials, news, pretty much everything etc) and he has always taken a great amount of time styling his hair and then trying out new haircuts and pretty much is the most famous British celeb about and he starts to go bald(well diffuse) it just shows that not even famous people are invulnerable to male pattern baldness. Ive certainly not got anything against the guy, he has been a great player through his career and thats all I care about as Im mad about football and am English and he seems a fairly nice guy.

Im with you chino20..His hair looks awesome! Everyone on this board is seriously deluded, insane or just lost touch with reality. He is not receeding in any way, shape or form. However his hair may of thinned slightly in a diffuse type manner, but its hardly serious and its very normal for people who are getting older to diffuse slightly. His hair is like 3mm long and the pic is taken in broad day light for fu-cks sake! There is plenly of women with very fine hair and if they shaved their head as low as Becks you would see alot more scalp than what you do on Becks and they are not balding! As soon as Becks gets a bit more length to his hair it will appear alot thicker to lay all of your pathetic suspicsions to rest.

In my opinion Becks will never get a receeding hairline, his hairline is to strong. If you have a strong hairline at 30 their is a good chance you will have that for the rest of your life. I noticed my hairline going at 18-19 and by the time I was 23 it had got pretty bad and i was very worried, but suddenly it stablized and not to due to Propecia. I did not start taking that till I was 26 in a hope that i might grow some back. Being 29 now I feel strongly if i can make it to 30 with my current hair, i should be able to maintain its look for the rest of my life, with the help of Rogaine and Propecia. (Hope).

Yeah I googled tonsure so now I know what it is. So what's that got to do with male pattern baldness? Can't you f*****g get it, my brother has NEVER buzzed his hair, quite the opposite, he's always had longish hair. YET HE'S THINNING RAPIDLY. EXPLAIN THAT YOU MORON. You'd think nobody born in 60's would be bald if only buzzing would lead to baldness, it wasn't very in back in those days.

Sorry for the harsh words, but these kinda stupid theories about balding do my head in.
