Yeah NW1.5 basically
I am NW6 under the transplant
The crown is like half bare, the midscalp is some weird mish mash, and then the front is very thick. Somehow it all works and I just give the illusion of "an NW1 guy who has some crown thinning but nothing serious"
You did really well considering the starting position and I've seen all your pics, choice of surgeon makes a HUGE difference in such cases. As a Norwood 3 you can afford to screw up the hairline and have grafts to fix it to an extent but in your case there was no room for error. That's exactly how they do it, load the front and gradually to the back and some drs are experts. You have a reasonable illusion and because of the graft distribution you can style it like a fullhead, I think actually that is the biggest deal for you which helps. These surgeries can never give a full head look behind unless someone had incredible donor I guess but even then it's not like before and it's important to keep that in mind. It's when after surgery there is balding from every angle (front, side, back, top) and pluggy appearance, it's not worth it as we know.
I hope to never need a transplant again but of course I would do it in a heartbeat if I lose hair, it's not that it didn't change my life but so much can go wrong especially when you see people going through it. Improper angles, poor growth, destroyed donor etc and it can happen with any surgeon. Some can get away without FUT too like in your case. Since I have no loss from any angle, I really don't want to go under the knife again and also a long recovery with medium sessions.
Norwood 1.5 seems to be the go to hairline and I have it too I suppose and so does your Machine Gun Kelly

I could have got a flat Norwood 1 for same grafts but the Doctor said it looks way way more natural, aesthetic to keep the corner angle a little open like 5mm, it wasn't about grafts as it's literally 100 grafts extra but the sharpness can suit the jaw line, masculinity and it's a versatile hairline. Quick way to check is with your index finger and thumb, the centre of hairline to glabella and corners to top of eyebrow - same distance for me and it's a favourite line for top surgeons as they know the importance of the lateral epicanthus in forming the corner. No one has picked up my work which is a great sign and how it should be, the focus should be on the face and not the hairline or hair beyond "nice full hair." I saw on forums that some users said their hairline looked like it was drawn with a ruler as so straight and people kept looking or hairs growing out at wrong angles which can't be undone!
edit - I read there are 800k annual transplants! But remember each patient probably has max 2-3 medium sessions if needed, all about artistry and illusion.
