Hey guys I hope you dont mind me posting here real quick, I am female.

I have been watching David Letterman for years, about 2 years ago he was very very thin, about 8 months ago he was still thinner but had more hair on the center top. Now he has almost a complete head of hair, what do you think he is using??

I was thinking the same thing. He must have done them very slowly though so that it would not appear to sudden? I just kept noticing each month it got thicker and thicker as time went on, and now he has a very full head of hair

I'll make sure to watch the next show. I've been a regular viewer since about 1987 and have noticed his thinning/receding throughout the years. (and of course he always joked about his "toupee") I haven't watched it much in the last year, so if there's been a major change I'll probably notice it.

Beaner watch it I am sure you will pick up on how much more he has.

I dont think its toppik, its like the receeding areas on the forehead temples were way back and they slowly started creeping forward and then they connected to the crown and its almost all full again.

I think your right transplants?

I thought he looked fine before but now that im so focused on my own hair loss im looking at everyones head

i think its kind of silly to be at that age (50 or 60 or however old he is) and to be worrying about yor receding hairline. i mean, how many guys at that age are completely bald?? so who cares if he's got a receding hairline at that age! he should be worrying about his retirement and not about regaining his temples!

That's a good point but he isn't you normal 50 or 60 year old. He's loaded with money and can afford the best treatments and he's on TV so excuse him for being a little vain just like the rest of us.

Ahem...Elton John, Silvio Berlusconi, William Shatner...the list is endless.

Oldies trying to get back their youth as far as appearance goes. When one does not believe in god/some kid of supreme thing, youthfulness is alway extremely important.

You'd be suprised, many times I've read on here guys aged 19/20 saying "if only I could have hair until 30 I would'nt care after that". Well I bet they'll change their minds when they get to 30.
After all there are guys on these forums who are nw2 aged 40+ and some of them act like its a tragedy.

I don't know, even when I turn 40 (if I make it with all the sh*t I'm taking) I think I'll still care about my hair. Then again, things change, and so do priorities I guess.

I just turned 40 and I seem to be strangely addicted to having hair on the top of my head. Believe me, you guys will be the same. :freaked2:

It's funny that David Letterman is working on his hair at his age, but then again if he can keep looking young he can work another 15 years in TV and make a ton of money.

There you go Klink has better hair than I had in my early 20's.
Is'nt Letterman planning to retire soon? Or is that Leno?(lets not even get started on his hair)

I am thinning out in my early thirties and it bothers me. It will bother me in my fourties. I think I will probably just live with it in my fifties, but then again maybe not

Roll on HM.

I watched last night and he isn't doing anything. His hair was perhaps a bit longer on top and I think it may have been blow dried, giving it a "poofier' look. His recession was quite evident and when he bent his head down, he was as thin as ever.

Really? See I think it looks totally different, before it was very much noticable to me that is what I would call near full head of hair, well from a female perspective i'd not look at him and think he was thin or thinning at all.

I'm almost 100% sure and I don't think Letterman would seek hairloss treatments anyay...only my opinion though. He was wearing it very short for a while and last night I noticed it was definitely longer, but still very thin. I do think that it looked lighter in color, almost as if it were sun-bleached, which may contribute to the illusion of more hair.....it DID look different, but after looking at it I didn't think there was actually more of it. Keep an eye on it when he bends his head down and you'll see the thinning. I certainly like your perspective though.

Why don't you send him an email and ask? Who knows, it may end up on the air if he still does the "Dear Dave" segments.
