Decided To Get On Finansteride, Any Advice And Concerns Is Greatly Appreciated!

Recently came out of denial and have now decided to get on Finansteride, got quite a bit of hair left that I'd like to keep for a couple of years, maybe regrow some of my hairline and crown.

If there is anything you guys wish you had known before starting Finansteride, and just general knowledge about possible upcoming sides I should know I'm glad to know!

I'm 17 and I've heard from some people that I'm way too young, and from some people that it's fine. (Planning on buying Finansteride in about 4 months when I turn 18, sooner if the hairloss accelerates.

Two things:

1. I think 17 is too young to buy finasteride and I’d suggest a regime of nizoral shampoo and minoxidil for now.

2. If you are going to get it, I’d personally go through your medical provider. Otherwise, if you’re buying then I’d personally pay extra for the assurance of buying the genuine article - in my personal situation that meant buying Proscar from an EU pharmacy called Evopharmacy.com and splitting the tablets into 1/5. This works out to just 43 cents a day which is definitely worth it.

Overall though, I’d still stick to option 1.

For how long would Nizoral shampoo alone keep my hair? Thing is that right now I just want to halt the hairloss, not worry about regrowth quite yet. I got a feeling that If I get on minoxidil I will just gain hair for a couple of months and then just lose it all.

What is nizoral? Like minoxidil or finansteride?

Nizoral shampoo is no guarantee of preventing hair loss but it does work well for many (not all people) and it’s what you’d class a conservative treatment option without much sides to worry about.

No, it’s not linked to the compounds in minoxidil or finasteride and it’s non-hormonal in its effects.
