deep seated terror of subconsciousness

last night presented me with two new male pattern baldness dreams.

in the first one i lashed out and started throwing objects at my parents for giving me bag genes (male pattern baldness and bad health) and making me suffer.

the second dream was little bit more interesting.

i had Billy Corgan come over to my place, we hung out in the basement and had conversation about various topics. later on i gradually tried to change the subject to male pattern baldness, asking him questions like ''when did you notice, how did you realize you were balding?'' and ''how did it make you feel?''
at first he tried to answer my questions, but was visibly upset and disturbed by my indiscretion, so i tried to apologize but it was too late. he got really depressed and set something on fire in the basement and wanted us both to suffocate to death in the smoke. the basement was filling with smoke. i told him - Billy you've crossed the line, you're not welcome anymore and you need to leave - while trying extinguish the fire. then he left the house.

billy first noticed he was losing it during the release of the legendary mellon collie

check out his bullet with butterfly wings video, u can see him receding in it.

u sure he was a receeder though? i've watched some of their live videos on utube and it looked like he was showing signs of diffuse thinning in the time frame between Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie.

lol in my dream he had long hair though like in the gish era so i assumed he was wiggin it up for the date. i tried to comfort him when he freaked out by pulling my combover back, exposing my hair loss like saying ''it's ok, look at me, it got me too" but to no avail.

I think he had been diffusing for awhile in addition to receeding. It's crazy to think about how much of a difference it makes on your appearance. He went from looking like the apathetic grunge stoner to the angry bald guy.

He looks a lot better with facial hair:

I lived for most of my teens with glorious soft long hair. And despite not having them for more than 2 years now, my self-image is still intact with it. I sometimes get dreams in which I am super thick NW1 again, and it's like all my hair loss in real life was just some kind of styling issue.

So you got a taste of true bald rage, pure sorrow. That is what an nw3 gets for trying to relate to a proper bald man.

ya? wonder what i would've gotten if i really tried to insult him? hatchet to the head? trying to burn the house down with me in it was a dikk move and unnecessary.

moreover, don't talk to me about sorrow. if he was as sad being bald as i am as a Norwood 3 he would have hard time trying to function in a high profile band and being in the spotlight. he'd suffer a nervous breakdown and die.

also he created his best music when he still had hair, once he was bald the band and everything started to fall apart. i mean how do you do rocknroll with a chrome dome, how do you ****ing rock out on a stage for a rock crowd with no hair? the right feeling must be absent, i'd personally feel bizarre.

Maybe. Maybe he was screaming inside every time he walked on stage. Maybe he is just as jaded as I am, or not. :dunno:

so i guess balding prohibited you from fully enjoying Korn when they were at the top of their game, uc man?

you were balding in the late nineties, right? that's when korn presented to public their biggest hits, like freak on a leash

Backstreet Boys were also extremely popular at the time, especially among little teenyboppers like me, but let's not discuss that now, k?

by the time it was 2002 and Untouchables came out years of alienation and being an outcast took its toll (altho i had like 3 friends at school, so i wasn't completely friendless.)

so it's no wonder angsty music like Korn started to appeal to me and i dropped Backdoor Boyz.

i still listen to Korn every now and then for nostalgic reasons, they're cool but musically and lyrically they leave a lot to be desired. got to give credit where credit is due tho, at least they did something original.

Sometimes we delete threads by spammers and if you've posted in those threads, down goes your post count.
Other times the post count gets screwed up by daily activities on the site (over time) and when we run the maintenance scripts to clean up the orphan posts, etc, people's post counts get corrected.
Hopefully towards accuracy.

Wtf

Korn is 10/10 musically and lyrically

Definitely one of my fav bands ever. If theyre original that automatically makes them at least 6 or 7 both musically/lyrically

technically they're really not that advanced to say the least, they rely mostly on sound effects and distortion rather than musicianship and skilled playing (much like the rest of nu metal bands). i don't say this to bash them, but it's a fact one must acknowledge.

Sound effects and distortion take skill too

U ever tried using a music program?

Lyrically an vocally davis is amazing.

But this is subjective and off topic

o wellz

korn being good/bad is subjective.

korn being simple isn't. you don't have to take my word for it, go to any musician/metal forum and ask.

korn's sound doesn't take lots of skilzz. it takes ****load of pedals to get odd sounds out of guitars. back in 2004 my friend's brother was in a nu metal band, and he could easily play most of Korn's tracks, even taught me how to play some parts. and that tells a lot cuz he was a really sloppy player and even admitted it himself.

btw i initiated this thread, and i approve of this off topic.

for those of you who wonder how is this even connected to male pattern baldness.

well lemme tell you.

none of the former and current korn members are bald or appear to be balding and they're in their 40's now. that's inappropriate and equivalent to blowing diarrhea in the faces of guys like us.
