Considering I'm still to young to risk my hormonal balance, I think I'll get a 0.5 dermaroller and Spironolactone Cream. It should be enough to block DHT in my scalp, but not getting it in my bloodstream. Do you have any experience with this kind of treatment? I don't want to have awesome results, just maintaining it would be enough.

Pretty sure derma rolling would make it absorb even more. BTW such low doses of spironolactone won't cause a hormonal imbalance. If that were the case, ppl wouldn't be able to eat meat and drink milk.

That's the thing, I want to dermaroll so the spironolactone gets to my scalp properly and actually blocks the DHT. The hormonal imbalance I was talking about is the reason I will only use that instead of finasteride or dutasteride. After a year, if I see that my hair loss has significantly freezed, I'll just maintain that routine. If not, I may add something else. Maybe 0.25mg finas or something like that.

Wait... Why was this moved to Concealers and Styling Products?

If you cause bleeding and apply it to the wounds, this will make it enter the bloodstream even more. I think regardless spironolactone is absorbed systematically. It's in such low levels that you don't feel a change. If you do end up rolling + spironolactone, please take pictures. I also thought about doing this. But just jump on finasteride!

I'll use a 0.5 mm dermaroller so the spironolactone can reach the follicles, and that lenght is supposed not to cause bleeding. And I've read that absorbed spironolactone can actually be kind of dangerous, so I won't take risks. About finasteride, I was hyped when I found out about it, but after reading those articles about brain damage, I think I'll pass.
By the way, I'll take pictures as soon as I start the routine.

You read people's opinions not actual information. Why don't you look at the actual clinical studies on Propecia. It's actually a pretty same drug.

Alright, I've read some articles that prove that topical spironolactone doesn't go systemic. But about Propecia, I'm yet to find an article that refutes all that has been said about brain related long term problems. Is there something out yet?

There isn't a study that proves that it doesn't cause long term mental problems, but to be fair there isn't any scholarly article that proves it does. You should stop looking at propeciahelp.com. The study that you read about spironolactone was a half assed attempt to convince people to buy their product that included a total of 6 people. I personally think both products have more benefits than losses. Please, if you do derma roll, take pictures and be a benefit to the community. You can look up my thread "you guys tell me" I used spironolactone for 4 months.
