Dermmatch/concealer Tips For Thinning Hair

Thought I would start a discussion about about applying DermMatch and other concealers. As a happy user of Toppik, I tried DermMatch recently and was not too impressed until today. What I did differently this morning was first washing my hair and lightly drying it with a towel. I then dampened the applicator and the concealer itself with a water spray and applied whilst gently combing my hair. I then let it dry naturally for 15 minutes. Following this, I used a blow dryer and combed my hair vigorously- my hair then appeared much thicker.

To finish, I styled my hair using a small amount of American Crew hair paste and applied some Toppik as " filler" behind the hairline. I then gave my hair a blast of hairspray:)

If anyone has anything to add or further tips, then please contribute.

Lol bro... So much hassle ... But probably worth it once in a while if you wanna look your best. I used to do something similar to what you mentioned but it got tiring eventually. Now I just use a volume shampoo/conditioner, apply minoxidil foam, brush hair to desired hair style while hair is wet due to foam, wait 10-15 min, apply toppik on thinning areas, brush again lightly, done.

It's fine until your hair gets thinner and thinner. It doesn't work so well for me anymore, when damp, the colour doesn't take to the crown so great, It's marginally better at front, but have to use a load now. As for paste, you've obviously got more hair than I have if you can put that in
