I am not a doctor, I can only speak from experience. The only issue my doctor had about Propecia was the price. I actually brought up the topic of sides with him and the only issue he had was that you have to continue taking the drug for as long as you want to keep your hair. I have been on finasteride for 1.5 years without sides. Again, I am not saying there is no risk involved, but for me the risk was worth it. If it isn't for you then that's your choice. As far as it being too late, that depends on how long you have been losing hair. If your hair hasn't been gone for too long then you may have chance to get a good amount back. It is worth a try in my opinion. If you get sides, or your results are not satisfactory then you can always stop taking it.

As far as nofap goes, you can always try that if you don't want to use finasteride. Just make sure you take plenty of pics to document your progress and make sure you post them on this forum.

Nofap sells itself as some all curing miracle from energy to depression to hairloss, but I don't buy it. Maybe if you are legitimately addicted to p**rn it might help those things out, but I have a hard time believing it has anything to do with balding. I've gone weeks if not months not masturbating, maybe a 2-4 times in that span, and noticed not a single difference from when I did it frequently when I was younger.

Propecia and Rogaine are the proven methods though.

If you are a responder to it you might regrow some hair but it's main purpose it to keep the hair you have and that should be seen as a positive. I doubt it'll restore you to a nw1. It's notoriously difficult to regrow hair in the temple region . Propecia works better at the crown

its a case of doing a simple cost/benefit analysis.

What are the benefits of propecia (stall hair loss, potential hair growth, thickening hair, cure your depression, give you back control, confidence, appearence), what are the costs (a minuscule chance of side effects).

Hair loss is rough, there is NO reward without risk. Getting on finasteride was the best thing I ever did. No side effects and regrowth on the crown from NW4 to NW3/2.

Grab your skirt, man up and get on it fast before its too late.
