so your saying while on finasteride alone you only had that 3-4 month shedding phase, but while on minoxidil you had shedding cycles , correct ?

I think most of the shed that people get on finasteride is due to the increase in estrogen that some people get . High estrogen will put most of your hair in the resting state which will end up shedding 3 months after the start of the treatment ... so controlling estro sides from day one will reduce the chance of finasteride shed .. That’s what i did from day one on finasteride and never had the so called finasteride shed ...

when I did my first finasteride minoxidil burst I was shedding exorbitant amounts of hair daily... 300-500 was literally standard.
at the end of my 3rd month i chrome domed my head as I literally thought it was the end of my hair.
Kept the meds up and it all came back and by month 6... not a single hair was being lost even when shampooing..
too bad the sides gained so much momentum as it was awesome not having the itchy scalp and watching my hair thicken.

i alwyas thought it was because of the raise in T levels, but you think its estrogen levels , huh, why so,

and more important how did you control this do reduce the finasteride shed,

thanks sir

how do you control estro sides.....?

there are a number of ways to combat them...
first off start by taking DIM and zinc tablets, plus vitamin B and B6...

if that does not help with breast growth type sides... then you really need to speak to your doctor, look into a reduced dosage of finasteride and combining it with an aromatose inhibtor.. would start with a topical like AIFM... and then with the guidance of an endocrinologist look into armidex, tamoxifen or (can't remember but will check).

if sides are giving brain fog and the likes... get off the sheit

Estrogen prolongs anagen growth phase = good for hair.

Estrogen causes synchronous hair growth increasing the chance of massive hair loss once your body adjusts to the increase in estrogen levels which will then lead to all the hairs entering the resting phase at once. Estrogen also increases Sex hormone-binding globulin "SHBG" production by the liver which binds to fat soluble androgens decreasing the availability of the active hormones which would lead to all the sides that most people experience. Estrogen is the reason why most shed and have all the other side effects that no guy wants to deal with … So it’s best to control the estrogen from day one by supplementing with 50-70mg of zinc .

youre hairline looks good , just looks abit messy with the smaller hairs .
it's somewhere between NW1 and 2 , a mature hairline .
most guys here would kill for it .
No one will notice you are balding , just dont look check youre hairline in the mirror all the time or you will think its worse .

zinc is only a mild aromatose inhibitor... some people need a lot more help with estrogen control... and it's usually these that are going to suffer side effects from propecia most
