DHT doesn't actually cause hair loss directly. DHT has an influence on calcium pathways and how are bodies will utilize it. male pattern baldness is really just calcification of arteries and calcium deposits in the tissues near hair follicles, they is from the inflammatory response and causes hairloss. DHT only becomes inflammatory in a hypoxic environment, some people have weaker scalps towards the top of the head with low oxygen levels.

Everything that has every worked for hairloss has to do with calcium channels,DHT reduction, Rogaine. You need to tackle fibrosis, and the calcification if you want to beat hairloss.

for myself, testosterone causes hair loss. straight up. On finasteride, my DHT levels plummeted, my T raised drastically and all my hair started falling out. In correlation with increased libido, oily skin, and tingling in my balls.

Not saying it didn't happen to you buckthorn, but I can't get my mind around the possible mechanism of action that runs counter to what finasteride is supposed to do. Anyone else have a theoretical?

perhaps it was just AR upregulation then. Who knows really? All I know is I still get tingling in my balls and crawling / burning in my scalp every day. almost always in correlation too, which is even weirder. night time erections, etc...I have no friggin idea. I have never experienced this before finasteride, ever. I swear on my mother's life.

the ENTIRE day I have crawling and tingling in my scalp. Always around the crown. Like a small insect under the scalp traveling from one exact point to another, then repeating. It's happening right now as I type this. all day. Itching / burning comes and goes. both are 100% correlated to my thinnest areas.

as a matter of fact, alcohol is the ONLY thing that alleviates this torture. It's not placebo or altered mind state, because I don't even get "drunk"... somehow it lowers my scalp inflammation. this is the primary reason i drink. i feel f*****g normal again.

Man, that's strange buckthorn. Something there begs for a biopsy, but I'd have no idea in hell, where or what to analyze it for. Hope you can get some answers.

yeah, even my sides, where I feel this, are thinning pretty bad now. i don't f*****g get it. it's the association with hair loss that makes it f*****g torture.

yeah, what would a biopsy reveal? prehaps inflammed tissue, miniaturization and increased telogen, right? diagnosis - you have male pattern baldness and scalp inflammation. try finasteride and nizoral. lol

Bucky, what can we say. You are our unicorn. Maybe the dog is slipping something in your food dish when you are not looking.
