shrinks are bound by confidentiality rules in the medical profession. you don't know what you're talking about. if a shrink told any employer out of the blue that you've been treated for depression he would get reprimanded.

TAUG- at your age, i would be worried that finasteride would cause more harm than good. i can't see any signs of hairloss. you need to lok at people like bruce willis and thank your lucky stars that you have the hair you do. i would give my left, no, my right testicle to have your hair. i don't see anything wrong with your forehead either. digi cams have a way of stretching the pics. dude, i honestly think you need to quite obssesing about your hair and go out and enjoy life. your a young and good looking dude. if someone doesn't like the way you look then F em. move onto the next one. maybe look into a singles forum instead of a baldy forum. as far as i'm concerned. you are a HAIR GOD! go with it man.

look he clearly is losing his hair. there is no question about it. i can't believe dirtrider is warning him about finasteride. i think that some guys on here in more advanced stages of hair loss actually want him to go off the drugs, lose his hair and catch up to them so they can be miserable together.


if you don't want to take him at his word that his hairline is receding then fine. but be aware that crown/vertex thinning and diffusion on top can sometimes appear before great hairline miniaturization and recession and it appears that this is what is happening here.

don't listen to them taugenichts. don't go off the drugs.

and let me just say that i am really beginning to resent some people on here with advanced hair loss telling people in earlier stages of hair loss to not take the very drugs that they are taking to prevent even more hair loss. it's quite hypocritical.

and let me just say that i am really beginning to resent some people on here with advanced hair loss telling people in earlier stages of hair loss to not take the very drugs that they are taking to prevent even more hair loss. it's quite hypocritical.

I'm just trying to make him realise that he is making a mountain out of a molehill. If I were in his situation I'd just take my propecia once a day and forget about it. I would'nt even be on here let alone writing huge amounts of posts expressing my sorrows. Clearly when he looks in the mirror he sees something different to what the rest of the world sees (maybe you do too) and this is what causes his social anxiety. This is why its important for us to play down his hairloss to try and help him to realise that he is perfectly fine. If he ever does prceed to a Norwood 4/5 (which may not happen if he responds to the meds) he will look back and realise that he should have made the most of his current situation.

Well your opinion on whether his hairline receded is WRONG. So excuse me for pointing that out. And I don't have the most number of posts in the shortest number of time. That honor goes to CCS. So why don't you tell him to get a life and get off the forums? Hmm? I'm not a moderator.

saf was not talking about you . i was talking about advanced hair loss dirtrider telling him to come off them because he didn't need them and how finasteride is bad etc.

Come on guys, let´s be cool and stop arguing.

There is no way I am gonna stop these treatments. Even if my liver was causing trouble I would still continue to take them. My hair is simply the most important thing in my life. Some may love their girlfriends/wives but I love my hair. I don´t know of any better word to describe my feelings concerning my hair.

At the moment it is not my hairline which bothers me so much. As someone said these pics are worse than reality since it stretches my forehead. Just look how big my hands are. IF i would stay like that I might accept it and live with it, maybe even without a hair transplant. I am just worried that it is further receding that was why I posted this thread. I simply was unsure.

But what worries me most is the the overall thinning of my hair. I am balding at an incredible pace. Since summer I lost about 5% of my density and I am still shedding in spite of being on finasteride. I am just hoping that finasteride starts working soon, because otherwise there is nothing left that can be saved.

P.S.: Argh, today my hairline looks shitty again, I can´t believe that I am losing ground in spite of being on this f*****g treatment. Tihs is killing me!!!!! :no: :no:

Hello, plz take a close look at these two pics. The first one is from August 2006, the second one I took a few minutes ago. Do you think that the right side (from my point of view) of my hairline has receded over the past months? I am at a stage of hairloss where I can´t say for sure what is true or not. Hair loss has made me somehow crazy.

Your hair looks great. 860 posts with hair like that??!!! I know you've said before that you're diffuse on top, but i think it'd be a great shame if in 10 years you looked back and really regretted all the time you spent on here, instead of out playing sports, meeting chicks...what do you think?

Thanks for your advice and the kind words, still_trying. But the truth is that it looks much worse in real life. I can´t describe how thin it actually looks like. Scalp is always visible and the crown looks so terrible. I will post new pics in a few days and you will be able to judge yourself. What bothers me most is that it is always getting worse and worse. If my hair would stay like that for the rest of my life I would be glad and leave this forum, but since it won´t I have such a hard time dealing with this sh*t. Hair loss is too much for such a sensitive person as myself :cry:

It appears there is a tiny amount of recession. Its extremly small though. Then again, it could be the lighting or the way you are holding it or something. Jesus! you should see my hairline lol! Its so much worse, in fact, its almost gone! I get a shock everytime I get out of the shower and brush the hair back :shock:
