His hair looks way more stacked than it used to with little recession. He can't use finasteride because its banned for athletes. Maybe creative styling, airbrushing, etc? Or did he copy Nadal and get some work done? It looked good recently at Indian Wells too.

impossible, just 2 months ago you could see his heavy recession after the Australian Open final. Just carefully styled. The hair he still does have is awesome quality so it wouldn't have been too hard to style it to a more aesthetic look.

There's nothing to stop Federer using finasteride. The World Anti-Doping Agency removed finasteride from its list of banned substances several years back.
