Did you guys see a Doctor before taking Propecia?

I don't have medical insurance. I am wondering if you guys who take Propecia saw a doctor and underwent any tests before you started taking it.

I've been on minoxidil for about two years. It's not really working. Plus the grease and flakes is awful.

i would recommend going to see a doctor, for one thing he gives out the prescriptions

but i am going to tell you the results (hair not lost is also a "success" if no hair is regrown mind you) gained from propecia is independent to what you get from minoxidil, in other words if you stop minoxidil and switch to finasteride you will be back to square 1 and starting again on propecia

telling if your hair has regrown is 1 thing but telling if the minoxidil is working at preventing your hair being further lost is much harder

I had a 'telephone consultation' with a doctor. He also mentioned that in 14 years of prescribing it (He had been doing so after reading the very first studies) he'd only had a handful of people reporting sides, and all of which resolved after 2 weeks of coming off the medication.

In UK, it's considered safe enough (And also because alot of men are too embarrassed to buy in person), that large pharmacy's will do an online consultation and send you the stuff.

Most sane people see a doctor when something goes wrong. And forget a derm... Go see a real doctor.

I did, and I would recommend you do the same.
Even though propecia is a relatively safe drug (and proscar too), it´s nice to have a professional to back you up if there is a problem.

i done a online prescription. it was rather silly, its basically to cover themselves rather than to help you.

I dont have any medical conditions or on any medication, if i did id prob see a doctor before taking finasteride.

Your not going to die with taking it, so if your healthy, pop the pill and put your feet up and dont worry.

After the doctor told me i had indigestion TWICE when i went to him with terrible abdominal pain, i dont trust them much, especilally when it turned out to be a burst appendix which just about took my life, luckily the 2 weeks in A&E done wonders to shift some weight, so it was worth it in the end.

Maybe im taking it a bit far, but like i said doctors arnt gods, take finasteride, if sides persist after 1 month, just dont take it maybe?.

I bet you some of the guys that are worried about taking finasteride are taking some other illegal drug at the weekend, like ectasy or something and dont even think about it twice.
