Diffuse Thinners--Right Here!

I have a suggestion, hear me out. Diffuse thinning is a b**ch. I think we would all agree with that. This is not to say we are in worse shape than everyone else, but we do experience male pattern baldness differently. I, for example, do not fit into the Norwood scale at all. From a distance I almost look to have a full head of hair. But once you begin to pull my hair back you can see lots of scalp and my whithering hairline. Why do some have diffuse thinning and others classic male pattern baldness? I wonder sometimes if it would be easier to manage if I did, but I am the way I am. This site is an awsome resource. gourmetstylewellness.com is to be applauded. But, perhaps there is something we can add. What about a permanent thread on the forum devoted to diffuse thinning? We have particular issues with, for example, topical application. If you are a diffuse thinner you know what I'm talking about. Also, haircut and styling advice would be very helpful. This is just a suggestion. I don't want to step on anyone's toes here and my goal is not to "divide the family" so to speak. I'm just thinking that a little bit of differentiation might make finding the information we need on the site a little easier and thus make the forum a stronger resource. Any thoughts?

Well, I see this idea has really taken off. No thread for diffuse thinners then.

Thats perhaps because diffuse thinning is more commonly associated with Female Pattern Baldness. So if you want to take a gander into the women's forum you'll be met with tea and sympathy.

No blowjobs, though. Its not X-mas for another week yet.

Wow, why on earth would you think diffuse thinning is related to female pattern hairloss? The only reason why diffuse thinning occurs is because all hair follicles are susceptible to DHT at the same time rather than scheduled to go out one after the other. Diffuse thinning and recession is the same thing... just makes life more of a b**ch faster.

lossfer,
i have a little diffuse thinning as well...here are some thoughts on hair style...try and go to a salon....not supercuts...etc...

i suggest you get a scissor cut hair cut when you cut your hair..keep it med in lenght...no clippers.
have your stylist texturize your top and bangs ...this is done with the tip of a special type of scissor...they will know just tell them you want to texturize the top/bangs. this is going to give the hair a lot of texture and detail.

after showering...towel dry and add this..its a product from sebastion called" get some body"..apply it to semi dry hair and blow dry with your hands...not a brush...
(when blow drying..finger comb it to the side a bit) ...

when hair is dry apply american crew firm hold gel ...get a nickel size at a time and apply it parts at a time....lifting up and finger forming...this style looks good with wavy to semi wavy hair...keep the sides med length as well and finger style to a sort of messy/wavy look
sides can be slicked back or down ....good luck

Er, because it is? I take it you don't know much about Female Pattern Baldness. (Though I'm not saying diffuse thinnning doesn't occur with male pattern baldness, clearly it does).
