I am 22 years old and I am still waiting for my first shipment of propecia and rogaine to come in the mail. My question is about applying rogaine. Since my hair is thinning all over, do you think I should apply it to my entire scalp? The only place my hair isnt thinning is on the back and the sides, but even they are starting to thin. Give me your advise plz...I feel that this site is going to be a real life saver in the next 8 months to a year. I'm fearful of the sheds, but I can ride it out for the chance at some hair growth.

I find the best way to deal with the loss is to remain optimistic, and not think about it all the time. I really believe part of hairloss may be a mental problem. If we could all just stop thinking about it so much, maybe it would be for the best. Thanks in advance....

I'm pretty sure minoxidil circulates throughout your entire scalp once it has been absorbed but it's potence would be weaker in a spot you didn't spray compared to a spot you have sprayed. If i was you, and this is just my opinion I would focus on the most problematic and obvious spots and then depending on how quickly you want to go through your Rogaine try and get in a few extra sprays on the rest of head. Don't worry about the sides and the very back at all. If your 22 then i can almost gurantee you that you won't bald their for a long time.

You have a great approach to it. I'm as well trying to ride out the pendulem of sheds and stay optimistic. Best of Luck.

I'm also a full diffuser. I have no 'thin spots', its just thin all over the top. I apply minoxidil to the entire area. Sometimes it takes more then 1ml.. but I try to keep it under 2.

Does it matter if minoxidil (rogaine) gets on your hair? Do you use the normal applicator?
Yes, your hair will become hard like glass. It will then shatter in the slightest breeze. Never let minoxidil get anywhere near your hair!!

But on a serious note, no, it doesnt matter. If it did, it would be totally impractical.

I use the dropper applicator.
