I want to give Min + derma roller a try to increase some volume of my hair.

My question is what will happen after I will stop the treatment? I just hope I will not lose my current volume of hair too later after discontinued!

Here is a scary line from wikipedia in "Application" section
""Therefore, when treatment is stopped, the DHT has its expected effect of shrinking and ultimately destroying the genetically predisposed hair follicles""
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minoxidil

What the is the meaning of that?!!!!

My problem? Naturally have little low volume, but dont have shedding!

Hairs that are dependent on minoxidil for growth will stop growing when you quit minoxidil. If you don't take finasteride, then they'll probably stop growing even if you do keep taking minoxidil eventually...
The hair you lose when you quit minoxidil is just the hair that minoxidil regrew.
Think of it as like brushing your teeth. Stop brushing and your teeth will probably fall out sooner or later...

I would say your best bet if you get good results is not to stop use cold turkey but to transition to once a day application with foam (less hassle and economical with a cheap brand like Kirkland) for maintenance. I don't know if there is 100% proof that minoxidil grown hairs cannot ever be maintained without continued use of minoxidil but for what it's worth the anecdotal evidence points to that. I wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed possible if you slowly wean yourself off the stuff over the course of maybe 6 months (allowing your hair cycles to adjust to their natural state) but I wouldn't do it just to be on the safe side.

Hello SimonCarlos, Tell me do you actually have male pattern baldness or just naturally thin hair, or both? minoxidil, like finasteride., is a lifetime commitment and even with that said for some users it's efficacy can depreciate over time or lose efficacy altogether. Either way you will more than likely lose any gains once stopped. Good luck.

GoldenMane and I.D WALKER: To explain my current condition in details is
1. I Do not have major male pattern baldness but a little, can be seen in pictures but it is like that from past 10 or more years as I remember.
2. I have very thin wavy hair, they do not have weight and extremely fizzy. (they look little bit managed in the pictures because I treated them in morning as part of my daily routine with Keratin blow dry cream)
3. Volume/quantity is also low.
4. I am not losing hair. After shower I notice in tub its the same quantity (7 - 10) as it was 15 years ago. But 15 years ago too I had same condition of hair as they are now.
5. The only thing EVER that has given me good results to setup my hair is Keratin blow dry cream/conditioner.

you can recommend me something else too may be?
