Dissolving finasteride in minoxidil?

I have some finasteride which is likely to expire before I can use it and therefore I'm thinking of ways to use it up.

I've thought about crushing it and putting it into minoxidil. Does anyone do this?

If so, does it cause any sides e.g. further shedding, and how many 5mg pills would you put into a 60ml bottle of minoxidil?

While there's been a study which claimed to find some benefit from using finasteride topically, there's been at least one study by some very serious researchers which found no benefit at all from using it that way. In fact, haircounts from the part of the scalp that were treated with topical finasteride were actually slightly LOWER than they were before.

If I were the Original Poster, I'd just take it orally, even if it's a bit past the expiration date.

Also a lot of people who have crushed their finasteride complain of it being too crusty once it dries.

I thought it may help given that there are products with finasteride/Min combined.

If you have a prescription you could possibly get a local company to due a custom compound. I almost had this done...still might.

They told me due to federal laws I had to get my Dr to send them a prescription and couldn't just hand them what I already had.
