I've thought about this, here's my suggestion:

Buy 200mg of it and use a standard ethanol/pg vehicle. Use 5mg per application in a very small 1cm/2 area, perhaps using only a couple drops. 200mg at this rate should last you 40 days if applied once daily. The benefit of this will be is that you'll know whether or not Kane's DKK1 inhibitor works (purity and legitimacy). If you get growth in the isolated area.... then buy a whole tub of the compound.

I think it'd be best if multiple labs were contacted to produce the stuff and we had a number of people trying it, similarly to the dermarolling community trial. Then we could find out if the stuff works, who makes the most pure compound and the best price.

How much do you want to bet that it's only "preventative". If it doesn't help those who are already bald then it's not a cure.

I'll make the bet if you're willing to give it a guy in the way I described.

a preventative is a great start if it has no real sides, a lot of people can use it

That is good advice, I have tried so much crap and can't determine what works and what doesn't. When one gets greedy we loose, you might get lucky but most often times you don't.

amazing how people discount the prevention of future hair loss, for all nw3 and below even nw4 this is good news... the rest is transplant or history, better than having to deal with a monthly changing forhead crown...

I BET it works, never tried it, probably we should find a cheaper supplier

You guys might want to be careful, who knows if the protein is involved in other biochemical pathways.

Even if it was proven that this protein is responsible for balding, the problem is finding a safe and effective way to deliver it without it going into your circulatory system and having it delivered to places where the effects are unknown.

THAT BEING SAID, if anyone wants to take the risk and be the lab rat, please share with us how it goes :D

In case you're interested, l-threonate and ascorbic acid 2 phosphate have been shown to be dkk1 inhibitors ( I link to the studies here http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/showthread.php/77749-Dkk1-Inhibition-with-L-Threonate). I'm doing research into the safety profile, but the following are promising:
- They are both vitamin C metabolites (I believe). I believe that your dose were to go systemic, it would merely be metabolised into vitamin C.
-The EU approved calcium l-threonate as a safe supplement.
-Magnesium l-threonate is often recommended as a supplement for delivering magnesium and improving memory.
http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com...ate-may-boost-memory-ease-anxiety-animal-data
- Asc2P is used as animal feed supplement to give animals vitamin C (it's more stable than giving them vitamin C directly, apparently)

I think this is a patent for the use of threonate for cosmetic hair loss purposes, filed by the authors of the l-threonate dkk1 inhibition study.
