Do I Even Have male pattern baldness? I Honestly Dont Know Any More, Pics Inside

Long story short, about a year ago I started shedding hair like CRAZY, Im talking 300+ hairs a day in the sink. I went from very full hair to an incredible loss of volume within a couple of months.

Hair line hasnt moved, no particular "bald spot" at all, just hair loss all over the top of my scalp.

No hair loss in family what I know of.


Ive been on finasteride now for a little more than a month and dont notice much yet, I shed about 10-20 hairs a day now, maybe little more or less.


Im starting to doubt it, or second guess it, cause my scalp is red, have been itching for 1 year and I notice almost ZERO "weaker hairs", u know those wispy ones without no color? Ive seen maybe 1 or 2 at most, the vaste majority of hair I lose over and over again is normal healthty hairs.

This is how my hair looks now, loss all over the top but the rest is as strong as always:

I just have no idea no more what it is, or what to do.


Is it normal for male pattern baldness to cause redness of the scalp and itching? Is it normal for the hair line not to move?

Is it "diffuse balding" and if so, what are the chanses that finasteride will stop it? Im on 1.25mg every other day at the moment.

Oh, I forgot to add:

I actually tried minoxidil a few weeks back, Im such a retard tho cause I quit after 3 weeks cause my face got so bloated, soon enough I went thru a massive shed (I guess I used minoxidil long enough to start the "minoxidil shed") and now my hair is thinner with more scalp showing than ever before.

That was in like end of may and beginning of june, I hope those hairs will start growing back soon.



Also, adding to all of this, when I comb my hair back after washing it, I see an INCREDIBLE amount of "new small hairs" growing all over the top of my head, but they are so small yet they dont add to the thickness at all.

The situation is so f*****g weird, I dont know what is causing my hair loss, if its male pattern baldness or some other sh*t, If my scalp is inflamed or not, f*****g sucks
