Do I have any hope for regrowth? Or RIP?

Hi. I've been diffuse thinning badly for a number of years. I have opted to go for the shaved look throughout as I bought into the whole "Just Shave It Bro" and "Appearance Doesn't Matter" thing.

Admittedly I have a head shape and skin tone that is more amenable to the shaved look than most guys, but still. Now I realize that I may have made a mistake and I regret not going on finasteride/dutasteride/RU/minoxidil right from the beginning.

My shaved head up close from last night:

Last time I grew out my hair - Sept/Oct 2015 (to see how bad it was):

So do you think I should get on minoxidil+finasteride... or just forget about it?

Can what I have be salvaged/thickened? A lot? A little? Or not at all? Is it worth it to at least try, or no?

Give it to me straight guys. Thanks.

At this point finasteride is the only option. Otherwise just go with shaved look until some break through comes around.

how long have you been balding for? You might get minimal gains from treatment if you began now probably not worth it though, since you probably wont get to much regrowth if any. Your pretty much at that shave it all off stage bro.

Pretty much rip.

Could do two separate procedures of 3000x2 grafts and then have a semi decent head for coverage. That's your only option.

OP, why do you think you made a mistake by shaving it? I agree with you that the shape of your head and skin tone is amenable to it. Do you not like your look? You could always try some contact lenses/glasses with a lighter frame and a new type of beard to maybe change things up.

I say go for treatments right now.. Do the fully monty. 1.25mg Finasteride.. High concentrated minoxidil.. nizoral for grins.. Throw in a few supplements and healthier lifestyle for grins and see what happens. You have literally nothing to lose really. Who knows until you try really. Give it a shot at least. You may have some miraculous turnaround. Just be realistic through the process.

Do what Fred did, low density NW2.5 area hair transplant, keep it buzzed, possibly combine with SMP for the illusion of higher density and be the guy with the buzz cut rather than the bald guy.
You've lost most of your hair but you still have a sparse amount on top which is non negligible and if you do go the hair transplant route, every hair counts in which case finasteride would be advisable.

Alternatively go the hair system route or just go back to buzzing it.

Buzz or shave and take treatments for a year see where your at. I'd be pissed if I could safe some hair then have a amazing treatment come in 2 years. I say shave because you'll constantly be checking hair. It's a curse.
