Hey guys, I'm 16 years old and recently had my hair shaved. I took a photo of my crown and I saw some thinning...maybe some diffusing and I got really worried. I have a few photos to show you. I think it could be male pattern baldness and I'm pretty sure I can get Propecia or something because I do want to keep what I have. Thanks for reading

Look at your hair density at sides, is it the same comparing the top hair?

In other words, common hair loss have a special pattern.

BTW, in my opinion repetitive shaving of the hair is not a good practice. OTOH, did you see any change in the scalp sebum?

The sides have a similar density with minimal hairloss my hairline hasnt seemed to change, my hair has become more oily but i think it could be due to stress because of mental health

Take care,

your hair has become mre oily because now there is less hair fiber, think that sebaceous gland produce the same amount of fat after shaving, its regulation is a slow process. you can use jojoba oil as a lotion for it.

Strangers cannot really tell if you are receding because they do not know how your hair has always been. Unless of course it is extremely apparent that you are receding. At this time it does not appear you definitely are but most likely you will eventually.
