Do I Need finasteride When My Hair Stopped Falling Out?

So I have stopped taking finasteride and just continuing with minoxidil atm. I am observing my a slow regrowth. I did not have noticeable sides but wanted to see what is the difference when I go back to "base level." I don't see any hairloss now - that is, I do not see any hair on my pillow, on hands while showering, or just when styling. Maybe one or two which is normal. How do I know then that finasteride is working when I am on it? Is there an "invisible" hairloss that it is happening that i am not seeing?? I am just trying to see if maybe I just dont need it atm. The only way to understand how your hais is doing is by comparing hard data, in terms of visuals (photos) and trichograms (anagen vs telogen phase hairs).
Hair count on the pillow is too approximative...
