Do miniaturized hairs have growth cycles too?

I noticed today that all of my miniaturized hairs have grown a little longer. A few weeks ago they were all really short, about 0.5cm, but now they are all at least 1cm or slightly longer. Is this regrowth or do miniaturized hairs also have a cycle where they get longer but fall out after a while?

Miniaturized hairs have a growth cycle just like any other hair, but the thinner the hair becomes, the shorter the growth cycle is. Eventually the hair gets as thin as say the hair on your arms, which for most men that don't have body hair like the late Robin Williams it's far thinner than the hair on your scalp, and succumbs to a growth cycle as short as only a few months as opposed to healthy hair on the head which has a cycle around 3 years on average.

And assuming this is regrowth (which it doesnt have to be). Does a regrowing hair need multiple cycles to grow terminal again? So let say in my case, i have temples, but i'm noticing some smaller hairs on the hairline(again this might be miniaturizing, but hypothetical). If this is regrowth would they grow to, lets say 0,2 cm first than fall out. Another resting phase later, less DHT attacks(fina), some minoxidil screaming come on, you can do it grow grow grow!, would it grow to like 2 cm now and fall out again? And so on and on till it's "terminal size"?

Or will it grow terminal in one cycle, if it's regrowth?

So in short, if on treatment regrowth occurs, does it get revived instantly to a healthy hair(maybe minoxidil dependent, but still healthy/terminal size hair) or does it slowly heal in several cycles till it is "healthy" again.

I think we all would be thrilled if terminal hairs that are gained from treatment grew back in only one cycle, but we don't live in a perfect world. In a perfect world, none of us would lose our hair. If you see smaller hairs growing in areas that previously were thinner or had no hair (corner and temple region), you might get lucky and have those hairs become terminal at some point. The problem is this: A) you don't know if those hairs will ever become terminal, B) if, at any point, you falter or get lazy with your treatment those hairs as well as others will be compromised C) even if you're lucky enough to get terminal hairs back in areas that were bald or thinning... it will only be a matter of time before they are back on the chopping block because genetics will always win out against our current medication, and your hair loss will continue in the same pattern it was destined to prior to your treatment. The benefits outweigh the risks, though, in my opinion. You could always hang on to any hairs that you do grow for a decent amount of time. Keeping regrown terminal hairs for a time longer than ten years would absolutely be playing with house money. Hopefully in ten years, meds to fight this balding plague will become more potent and the hair you work so hard to grow and keep can be maintained for much longer than you ever expected.

I have miniaturized hair where I previously had nothing and the miniaturized hair I had previously has become a little longer.
I haven't been taking any meds though! I have just gotten more sleep in the last 5 months than previous months. Am I tripping or is something really happening?

Bump

I am in the same situation as hair_nag and would like to know experiences of others on reverse miniaturisation cycles.
