Got my receding hair from my father, and my vertex balding from my mom's side.

Don't blame them though. Life is too short. Besides, both of them are dead. What's the point
in blaming?

But I thought it came from your mother's side.. Am I missing something
Well that doesn't make sense because everyone on my mums side have full thick set of hair, even my grandpa and he is like in his 70's. On my dads side however my had has lost about 30-40% of his hair and his dad was bald too, now Im starting to go bald

I know people who have a bald mother (even worse than me, and male pattern Norwood baldness, I'm 3.5 (3 v).

Yet their fathers are full heads. They turn out to be full heads. One friend has a brother who is also a full head.

They both look like both parents. But they are full heads. One is in his fifties.

Busted. Yeah.

Not him exactly, but for him not caring or understanding how hard it is today.

Back in the day, they just shaved it off, and they didnt have to compete for jobs with women or foreigners.

It was a mans world then.

This is a womans world now.

@Ninjarambohd

Article said:
There are also some risk variants on chromosome 20 that, when combined with the genetic variability in the AR, increase the risk that a man will develop Androgenetic Alopecia sevenfold. This means that one in seven men have the potential for developing this type of baldness.

Wat the f***? How does that make any sense at all?

Anyway...Contrary to what those articles claim, A.G.A. is in fact highly polygenic. This study is the most recent, with the largest sample and therefore highest powered. They found around 58 gene regions associated with A.G.A., 56 autosomal and 2 on the X-chromosome. Yes, the most impactful variants are around AR (which is on the X-chromosome), but there are some fairly big autosomal genes associated as well and of course many, many smaller ones.

i wud never blame my father for delivering the gene neither blame my mom.

I definitely wouldn't say I blame my dad, I just wish he would give me straight answers when I ask him about his hair loss. Whenever I ask a question related to his hair loss he seems to dodge the question and change subject, strange.

Don't stop at your parents. Blame your grandparents! And all your ancestors.

In fact, sue them! Get millions of dollars for pain and suffering! Look for
an attorney near you!

well the early onset balding came from my mothers side although my dads side has baldness to.

hell no I don't blame them, they simply wanting kids. people with huntingtons disease have kids, people have retarded kids. baldness is shitty but really there are way worse things we could have been born with.

I think blaming your parents for hairloss is kind of childish.....

It's childish. It's pointless. Why stop there? Blame your entire family tree.

When our parents die, we'll realize how much they meant to us.

Death is permanent.

I would do anything to get them back. I would shave my head. Anything.

It's not our fathers' fault

It is our MOTHERS' fault for mating with a bald man and perpetuating his bald genes

We should not exist

hahaha in that case u will die as a bachelor
some cheap mentality
i never blame my father instead i sympathize with him, he felt the same things i am feeling now and at that time there wasn't a single hope for curing baldness but now we stand a chance. I always stand by my father when he needs me because life has been a lot harder for him after he went bald and is still happening so. Nobody respects him but i will never allow anyone to undermine him. NEVER EVER.
And i don't like my mom, never realized the pain of hair loss.

I'm jealous of my dad, he was Norwood 2 well into his 40s, now he's 50 he has hair like Jude Law. He wasn't a diffuse thinner, his crown is still perfect. He'd be the perfect hair transplant candidate if he was bothered. I hope he doesn't because I don't want him to have better hair than me.
His father is NW1 at 88.
My hair loss genes most likely come from my maternal grandfather. I don't blame him but I do expect my parents to help me financially with hair loss treatment since they were so much more fortunate than I was.
