Does anesthesia really cause hair loss temporarily?
After I had surgery, I went through a strange phase where my hair started shedding a lot more than usual. My doctor told me it was likely telogen effluvium from the anesthesia and stress on my body. It was scary to see, but I learned it’s usually temporary. To cope, I kept my routine as gentle as possible: no heat tools, no tight hairstyles, and a scalp-friendly shampoo and conditioner. I leaned on Evavitae’s products during that time because they were lightweight and soothing, and within a few months my hair cycles normalized.
