Does Balding Affect All Young Mens Confidence? How Do I Let My Mate Know He Needs To Shave His Head

Do you know anybody or even yourself that doesn't care that they're losing there hair? I have a friend who started balding at 18, I've tried telling him that he'd look awesome with a shaved head because his hair is very thin now and doesn't look very good, he tells me he doesn't care... But I don't believe him. I think it affects his confidence whether he realizes it or not, I know it's none of my business and he can do whatever he wants with his hair but I'm just trying to give him advice, if he goes clothes shopping to look good then surely he cares about what his hair looks like. How can I let him know he needs to shave it? It looks pretty bad and he's only 23.

Imo, you should get off his case, im pretty sure hes well aware that his hair isnt doing him any favours, and he has his own reasons not to shave it yet. I'm not on his case about it man. I've literally said it once and he was the one who brang it up that he was balding. I don't tell him to shave his head every time I see him lol

There is things he can do about it though I just don't know he if knows about it. Like I said it's none of my business and he can do whatever he wants but he would look so much better with a shaved head I think he'd be thankful for my advice once he does it. I'm only posting about it here because I'm genuinely curious if some people just don't give a sh*t if they're balding young. If that's the case then I'm happy for him. But if it's affecting his confidence, I want to let him know he'd look awesome with a shaved head!

I'm not sure, that's why I'm here. Temples have receded but super thick hair... Possibly just a "mature" hairline

I definitely care a lot if I'm balding, wondering if everyone male does.

Yeah balding can destroy people's confidence especially if they are young. Most people hate hair loss even if they say they don't care. Your friend is probably trying to hold on to what little hair he has because he doesn't think he will like the look of a shaved head.

Perhaps you should tell him about various treatments that could be used to keep or even regrow his hair. From the look of it he doesn't seem to be too aware of all of this baldness things (or perhaps is still in denial). Be careful not to offend him though

You know honestly the worst part of balding for me is the lack of choice it forces on you. I like growing my hair to different lengths and trying different styles. Having only a very short buzz or bald as my only options for the rest of my life sounds really limiting and boring to be honest.
