Does Biotin Work?

Just got some biotin from Vitamin World. Anyone else use this stuff for your hair?

Yeah it can help the appearance of hair and I guess it can keep hair healthy if you weren't getting the right vitamins for it before, but it won't stop your hair loss by no means. Assuming your hair loss is due to male pattern baldness, you need to get on an AA and potentially other treatments depending on how aggressive your male pattern baldness is.

What works is having good hair genetics.

That stuff is all balognie. MSM, biotin etc.. waste of money

Stick to finasteride, and roll with the punches.

Biotin it self works but not as a supplement.
Get a slow RPM juicer and juice mangold, carrots etc.. since supplements goes out the other way without notification.

It can work nicely in addition with the Big 3. I take 5000 mg a day of it (my derm recommended it). At least to me, it makes my non-male pattern baldness hair look thick and healthy.

it might be beneficial if you live in a third world country where nutrient bio-availability is at an extreme.

Aside from that we have male pattern baldness which deems it useless. our hair isn't healthy, and vibrant because of a lack of nutrients but the culprit behind DHT

Biotin works. To check that look at your eyebrows. It made mine way fuller in 2 weeks. If works there it has to sum in the antihairloss combo/stack. Also supposedly lowers DHT at some degree.

I've been using Biotin and MSM for a few years. It doesn't prevent hair loss, but I use it in the hopes that it makes my hairs thicker and stronger. Too bad it doesn't cure miniaturizing hairs. :(

I have also started biotin, i think you need to be on it for at least 2 months before seeing any results

Supplement industry realy does sucker in a lot of people for these bogus claims.

The secret for people with strong, and healthy hair is genetics not bogus supplements.

If you're taking Biotin in the hope of stopping male pattern baldness then the only person you are fooling and hurting is yourself.

I think that biotin makes existing hair grow perhaps faster/thicker (maybe) but does zippo for male pattern baldness. :-(

Does zilch.

Finasteride will thicken your hair, and this is something I have noticed more years of usage.

To say it does nothing is false.

It will make your existing hair grow longer and faster, along with nails. I've been using it for 2 months.

That being said, alone by itself, it will do nothing to stop Androgenetic Alopecia.
