Yes. It causes stress on your scalp which in turn can exacerbate your male pattern baldness. Speaking from experience. I spent my teens bleaching my hair and started losing hair at 17. Just keep your natural hair color.

Nonsense. Women die their hair and tress it like crazy and have thick hair 'til menopause- another hormone effect. You people need to stop with the stupid hair loss theories. But don't wear a hat, because it causes balding.
Ye must be really careful with those hats.. they are a hazard

I sincerely doubt it causes balding, at least not on a critical level. It can make your hair weaker, but Androgenetic Alopecia is not that. Androgenetic Alopecia is the progressive miniaturization of hair follicles, their weakening. Once this starts happening, your hair grows weaker with every cycle and ends up dead.

But on the other hand, I do think it can irritate your scalp and contribute to inflammation. I've always avoided it.

Hats don't matter. In fact they can actually help sometimes (excessive sun exposure is bad for your hair).

women don't suffer from male pattern baldness. Bleaching it can trigger male pattern baldness and make it more aggressive and appear earlier. Also plenty of women that bleach their hair lose it permanently. Example; Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.

They are filling in her receded hairline with makeup. Look at the brown tint.

No, your hairloss was going to start anyway. I didn't put one bit of chemical on my hair for my entire life yet my hair loss started at 17. Hairloss at 17 is not an abnormal thing. It happens a lot. Don't find excuses for it.

Balding isn’t caused by anything, it’s genetic. That said, it can be expedited, which is probably what your dad meant to convey.

What colour do you want it? henna as far as i know is much more hair friendly than chemical dyes and can be used to dye hair.

Uh no. Where's the scientific evidence? Studies? You'll never find it, because there never will be. It's genetic and hormone induced. Also when did I say women have male pattern baldness? What I said is true, what you attempted to twist my words into, was not. Also equally not true, is the rest of what you said. male pattern baldness cannot be induced by bleaching ones hair haha, or anything of the like. At very worst....very, very worst, it'll cause breakage and maybe some hairs to go into a temporary effluvium, in some extreme scenario of doing that sh*t to your hair to often, and incorrectly.

Again, these ridiculous theories need to end.

As you were told before, dyeing your hair does not cause androgenic alopecia, however, it may speed up the process if you are predestined to have alopecia. I had no problem with my hair and one day I decided to dye my hair, and soon after my hair began to fall out. At first I didn't know if it was a coincidence or not, I wasn't sure, then I discovered that it was genetic, yet today I don't put any of those chemicals on my hair. Regarding hats it seems more like an urban myth than anything else.

What I'm saying is that if you don't do it right, it can cause a weakening of the hair fiber (but it's not responsible for androgenic baldness, which is hereditary). I would recommend the use of products with less chemistry in its composition, there are dyes of different quality, do not use any cheap crap, just that.
