Does Dutasteride really "destroy" your hairline with topical AA's?

I need to know this because 1 year on finasteride hasn't maintained my hair, it's only gotten worse.

I'm VERY sad.

EDIT: without topical AA'S* sorry messed up the title

You have to just try it to see how well you do. Everyone will react differently.

what about most men tho
I have been around the forums for a long time and it is very rare to see someone do significantly better with dutasteride after using finasteride. You mostly read either it killed the hairline or the sides were worse. You don't seem to be getting worse. I think you need to be patient and see if you can stabilize and then get a transplant.

Dermaroll those areas and hit it hard with some minoxidil. Otherwise, go for the dutasteride and see how you do. You might do slightly better.

If you are 1 year on Fina and have lost ground, then Duta should be obvious progression. I do not believe that it destroys hairlines. Anecdotal evidence is useful when dealing with off label use of drugs, but Dutasteride has been studied well enough.

Maybe try 1.25/2.5mg oral min, it has higher response rate
So you think taking higher dose of Dustasteride like 2.5mg per day is better?

DHT is far worse for hair than T. T's effect on hair is absolutely minimal in comparison. Plenty of data out there with what happens to your hair when you take finasteride/duta (dropping DHT, very mild elevation in T) = regrowth/recovery of hair.
