I don't know about it helping just dutasteride. If you try it and it helps then good for you  I don't really think you need it with your regime, not unless you have been on your regime for over a year and need a little help. :)

I use dutasteride and spironolactone. I can't really tell whether spironolactone is directly helping, but my hair is looking much better than it was formerly, and the fetishistic drug-geekery aspect of preparing crushed pills and applying them is psychologically very comforting.

Are you using avodart topically? If so can you explain your results and side effects?

Sorry, what I said was a bit ambiguous. The spironolactone is the topical. The dutasteride I munch. I did experiment with a bit of topical dutasteride, but I gave that up because I suspected it was a bit of a waste. I think the uptake rate of chemicals from the skin has the potential to be very low, and I'm not precisely sure what Dutasteride molecules look like, but I'd wager that they're pretty big = less absorption.

spironolactone is the best addition to avodart i can think of, dutasteride lowers dht but raises levels of testosterone in the scalp sometimes over 100%. test is bad for hair also , and spironolactone converts it into oestrogen , which is good for hair growth
