Does having body hair young increase chance of hairloss?

So I've become increasingly obsessed with losing my hair lately and have done a lot of reading into it. I was wondering does anyone know/think if having body hair increase the chance of losing your hair? I have quite a lot of chest hair and lots and lots or leg hair especially at the bum area and a fair amount of facial hair. I was wondering if this has an effect on hair loss as I know DHT is a promoter of body hair and facial hair, would love to hear some feedback

Having body hair young means you're a faster developer and possibly have high DHT levels. It doesn't however mean that the hair follicles on your head are susceptible to DHT related follicle miniturisation. Best thing anyone can do is keep a good pictographic record and check every few year for changes. The relationship is definitely complicated. I've noticed thicker eyebrows and more body hair, especially arms and hands, after starting finasteride and minoxidil.

I've been unsure for a while if I do actually have hairless because I do the pull test so many times a day that I kind of figure it would work eventually with or without hairless haha. But I have been considering taking finasteride just incase I clearly have very high levels of DHT and my dad started balding young

But if you do have the hairloss gene you will start losing hair the same time as you gain more body hair.
Most guys start losing some hair mid to late 20s and that's the same time they get a second puberty (more body hair).

I had a lot of body hair young, In fact my pediatrician told me that "I was hairy as squirrel" because he hadn't seen anyone that young with that much hair.
Odd thing was that I grew into it, now at 25 I'm not THAT hairy. I'm losing my hair...so connection?

In the last year (aged 28-29) I've noticed much hairier hands, arms and thighs, the start of shoulder peach fuzz (some longer vellus). Still no chest hair and still weak facial hair. I'm curious though, shouldn't I be LESS hairy and grow less body hair after one year on finasteride. I mean, it seems to be working on my head, so why am I growing body hair if my serum/follicle DHT is being reduced by 70-90%? Could it be high DHT sensitivity? Or perhaps testosterone grows body hair and inhibiting DHT actually helps grow body hair? What exactly is the tesosterone/DHT body hair relationship, if any?

Scalp dht sensitivity is the reigning factor to your battle with male pattern baldness

Some people are unlucky.. like those who produce little dht yet have very high affinity for DHT scalp sensitivity. Propecia doesn't work well in this case because they don't produce enuff dht to begin with, but at the same time the little dht that is produced is enuff in induce agressive hair loss. Seems like a trend in people with low dht, agressive hair loss that take Propecia that develop sides. Again, very lite dht production wih introduction to Propecia can potentialy result in ed for those prone

I have never had my DHT levels tested so this makes me wonder if I have low or high DHT levels. I would say I have an above average amount of hair on everything that is below my waist, but below average on everything above. For example I didn't shave for two years and had a beard that didn't have much cohesion . Also I have little very chest and arm hair and no back hair.
