Does it look like I'm receding?

Hello, I'm a bit new to thinking about hair loss, but earlier last month, I slicked my hair back and saw that the corners of my hairline looked huge, and considering my family history (Maternal grandfather was probably a Norwood 3.5/4 the day he died, only uncle on my mom's side is an Norwood 4 at age 54, he slowly grew into it from his late 20s. My father was probably a Norwood 2, maybe a little past that, but unfortunately, he passed away at age 29, so no further loss could be seen if it were to happen. I know very little of my paternal grandfather and uncles, as I've had absolutely no contact with them since he passed. There is no major diffuse thinning nor is there crown thinning in any part of my mother's side. Just a few oversized foreheads :))

I'm 21 years old, I've educated myself decently in hair loss and treatments, and I have a dermatologist that takes her practice very seriously, so If my hair seems problematic I'm sure I'll be able to easily start finasteride. I've kept it longer, though, since I was 15 years old, so I haven't really been able to notice much change between then and now :(

Here's a few pictures from last month. I don't really know what to think of them, other than the fact that I have a decent amount of little hairs around my hairline. The right side worse looking, so I included a closeup of that side.

Warning: The pictures are very large.

A receding hairline is a relative thing
Look at a picture of yourself 5 years ago and compare it to now. That should give you your answers

Unfortunately I don't really know what my hairline looked like 5 years ago. I have a picture from when I was 14/15 and the center of my forehead is still pretty close to the same place but I can't really see the corners

Tbh you dont seem to have very strong hair genetics you're hair reminds me of mine at about 19. Very fine/thin looking and naturally receeded slightly. I'm guessing there is some strong degree of Norwoodness on your fathers side.
I guess all you can do is monitor it and get on the finasteride if you see any progression.

Ps compare this guys attitude to some of the crazed 25+ yr old NW1.5's we get on here.

My hair is actually quite thick :p

Just the cut I believe. When I grow it out it looks really damn poofy.
