my understanding is that Nizoral doesn't prevent the production of DHT but it does help in preventing it from binding to the hair follicle

its the opposite broe

it prevents synthesis of DHT in the scalp but not by enough to make a difference really i prefer it better as an anti-inflammatory shampoo

To prevent synthesis of DHT on the scalp it would have to inhibit the production of DHT, which I don't think is the definition of an antiandrogen.

haha, then what would be the definition of an anti androgen then?

pardon my ignorance but how does the synthesis differ from production?

if nizoral does prevent then i think that it is in fact an antiandrogen.

i was never aware of this - is it a 5AR inhibitor?

I see, so would you agree with me in saying that it doesn't affect the production (or synthesis) of DHT?

According to my very limited understanding, no it doesn't.
