Does Ru Actually Work?

Been looking into it and I can't really say I've found great evidence it works.

I can't take finasteride anymore due to seriously bad ED.

Anyone know if it really works? Swoop or shook maybe?

Swoop says it works for a lot of people, i think he ranks it lower than finasteride though, and says it eventually stops working.

There are studies on RU working.

How's your recovery from finasteride sides going?

Currently tapering off and down to .5mg eod. No improvement in sides yet.

I'm guessing I won't improve until I down to like 0.25 eod or off completely.

This is my third time taking finasteride, the last two times I fully recovered within a month. Hopefully that's the case this time.

Yes,it does for many people. For some it doesn't. Then again you could say the same for finasteride.

You don't have a guarantee of having no side effects on RU though. After all it's quite a potent anti-androgen.

I got really good results on finasteride, but about 7 months into it I started getting seriously bad testicular and pelvic pain. I've had 3 ultrasounds, a round of doxycycline and cipro and an MRI. They can't find anything. Also 0 morning or spontaneous erections. I wish I could stay on finasteride but it seems like my body is crying for me to stop.

I use minoxidil, Nizoral and Tricomin but I know it's a pointless battle without lowering DHT. If RU would even just help slow it down and give me another year or two of decent hair I'd feel it's worth the price.

Finasteride has a logarithmic response curve. Don't expect the sides to reduce until you're averaging 0.10 mg/day or less.

Damn that sucks. I have never head of epididymitis but if your body is telling you too stop, it's a very wise decision to stop. You'll recover, just give it some time.

You can use other treatments too imo that will at least slow your Androgenetic Alopecia progression. I'll make a post about it soon. Not giving a guarantee that it will keep you above baseline though.

Yep RU works. I've been using it for nearly 2 years. I'm on CB-03-01 now too which also works. I was going to switch over. But I've just been using both together!

Then you wonder why some people (me) dont want to try finasteride or even attempt to treat male pattern baldness at all. The treatments are just flat out risky for a cosmetic condition. Hair IMO isnt worth losing your health especially when your talking about a drug you could theoretically be using for 30 years
I see both points of view honestly, but not treating male pattern baldness is not a wrong choice until safer options exist.

Man I'm so depressed about this. I'm back to a solid nw2 from finasteride and min. But this severe testicle and pelvic pain makes it impossible for me to have an orgasm. And when I try and fail, the blue balls make the pain even worse.

My plan is to ween off the finasteride over the next month then substitute it for RU 50mg a day. I just have to find out if it's the finasteride causing the chronic epididymitis you know?

Do you guys think I will lose much ground swapping a few months of finasteride to RU while I figure out what's happening to my body?

Edit: since finasteride is giving me trouble I've also upped my minoxidil application to a full capful or more twice a day to buy time. And added Tricomin.

The poster @Sonicblu650 had pelvic pain on finasteride, you should get in touch with him.

I use 15 mg a day as I have ED issues. I would start at a lower dose than 50mg/day, in fact I did ...

My wife keeps telling me she doesn't care about my hair because I have a great body and really handsome face but I do care. Losing hair makes me feel like who I identify as is forcefully being changed.

f*** this disfiguring condition.
