Does sunlight/cold prevent hair loss

think about why we have hair on our heads evolutionary wise.

1. To protect from getting sunburnt.
2. To warm us when cold or in storms etc.

So if we are never outside but always indoors we have no reason for hair? So would staying indoors possibly lead to hair loss over time and in generations? Bats and animals that live in caves or bottom of ocean etc often evolved to have no eyes

Losing hair serves no purpose in natural selection and neither heat nor cold will effect it. You're genetically predisposed to lose your hair. Somewhere in our evolution our genes mutated and hair loss was a result. We obviously survived and passed it on until now. At one point it served that purpose yes, but it doesn't anymore and temperature will not reverse it. People in cold climates go bald and people in warm climates go bald.

mmm so why do we have hair? what is its puropse. And why would the human body decide to remove hair from ones head? What purpose does it serve? As we age it frees up energy for other things? But having hair does not reuqire much energy/work by the body?

Hair must have an important function on us, you just have to keep in mind that hair is formed in the embryonic state

At some point during our evolution baldness was selected for. Bald individuals existed due to mutation changes, and natural selection selected for baldness, most likely because those bald individuals had a higher degree of reproductive fitness (more offspring,) unrelated to their lack of hair. The trait has been passed down and today exists as the seemingly dominant hair trait, at least in the Caucasian gene pool.

Staying inside would not itself result in baldness manifesting, baldness would have already existed in nature and been selected for. Additionally, it would not happen over a couple of generations, but over a longer period of time.

Could it be that the body tells you to stop ****ing around(reproduce), and take care of your family?

Maybe guys without hair stay more faithfull and because of that, they have been selected for.

Theoretically we have hair to protect(0.001%) our scalp/brain area from factors such as cold, cold water and stuff.

It's just mutations. There are plenty of mutations out there that are unexplainable for the most part. Same with hair loss.
And no, going outside will not stop your balding. Only Finasteride/Dutasteride will.

Ok but personality wise im not really like that at all I cant even be bothered with people half the time or a gf. So that wouldnt connect in your theory apart from fact baldness would maybe make me more unapproachable to others? But thats a quack theory at best.

Im not the kinda guy into raising a family at all

That's an interesting theory but it seems farfetched:jump:
